Climate alarmists would argue that the historical record of the Holocaust is anecdotal and was not peer-reviewed. They would say that old newspaper references and photographs from a Google search are not valid.
They would say that there never was an ice age scare during the 1970s, and that the historical record has not been tampered with by NOAA and GISS. Peer-review proves it.
Actually, those who deny the holocaust are more likely to be liberal. I engaged one over at CNS News.
Just like there is only “Anecdotal Evidence” that trees grew 1000 years ago, where there is now ice.
There are certain climate scientist who could be described as the “Green Ahnenerber”
Or that historically Greenland was green, or that in past times sailors sailed very, very close to the north pole, or that during historical sunspot minimums the planet cools, or that the planet has recovered from huge excursions in the atmospheric levels of CO2, through much hotter periods and colder times without having to tax anyone.
Of course the current breed of lazy, deluded, computer game playing idiots called ‘climate scientist’ find it beneath them to investigate such things because they have a good little earner running already. It’s called ‘climate change’. And is naught but an unproven hypothesis they have constructed and now are milking it for every cent regardless of the damage that it does to real science, and the true scientists.
They indeed call themselves ‘scientists’ but they have little curiosity of nature, poor facility to communicate, and little recognition of the scientific principles but want be thought of as standing on the shoulders of giants such as Boyle, Newton, and Einstein. They are the Bernie Madoffs of science – no better than petty thieves when all is totaled-up.
Interesting that you bring up the “Greenland was green” part. When I was in school (yes, dinosaurs still roamed the earth) before AGW or AGC was in vogue, I was taught that the Vikings pulled a fast one. To dissuade others from visiting Iceland (which was paradise according to the view) and pushing them to Greenland.
Of course those were history teachers who did not realize that the climate does change, and that perhaps the Vikings were being honest, as Iceland still has a ton of Glaciers, and the last I checked, no one has been able to successfully farm permafrost (where evidence of an ancient agrarian society have been found in Greenland under the ice sheets.).
A vast right-wing conspiracy?
With a name like yours, I bow to the expert! LOL
Yes, I used to have (before a hard disk died) a document about the farming on Greenland. The recovery of plant seeds and animals bones (goats IIRC) from under the ice. But I have lost that text and can’t find a reference for it again, I’ll keep looking.
