As much as 2-3′ of snow fell in the mountains of Maryland and West Virginia, with lighter snows in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Five months later, winter is still going strong.

Spring snowstorm has brought 13-18″ of snow for St. Louis, MO, Springfield, IL and Champaign, IL.
At 5 AM, the DC NWS office had a “winter weather advisory” for places north and west of DC and a “rain/snow mix” from DC south and east. Meanwhile, Richmond, VA, 100 miles south of DC had 4 inches as of 7 AM. All snow almost down to Norfolk. So the supercomputers that can supposedly make a 100 year forecast cannot make an accurate forecast 2 hours in advance.
Should we connect the dots? The dots I’m connecting are snow, ice and cold but I don’t think those are the dots Al Gore wants me to connect.
