Shootings are down year-to-date in Chicago this year due to the cold wet winter and spring. Things have now perked-up to “typical” levels with warmer weather and school letting out and high unemployment and anarchy on the streets with all the gang leaders locked up.
I live in the next county over, people I know over there can not believe how bad it is, if criminals break into your house and you scare them away with your gun, you better hope no one called the police because they won’t even try to catch the bad guys but you can be damn sure they’ll arrest you.
You’re a sitting target, much easier for them (the police, that is).
