80% Of August Major Hurricanes Strikes Occurred With CO2 Below 350 PPM

The US has been hit by thirty major hurricanes during the month of August since 1850. Eighty percent of these occurred with CO2 below 350 PPM, and two-thirds of them occurred before JFK was president.

The two category 5 August hurricanes were Camille in 1969 and Andrew in 1992.

Here is something odd about Hurricane Andrew; I offer it simply as it happened to me and without attempt at explanation.

In the two years after Hurricane Andrew I happened to have conversations with three different people who had done rescue work there in the immediate aftermath. All three of them volunteered essentially the same story (without any prompting from me). Paraphrased it was, “You know the news reports about fatalities from Andrew? They’re not true. There were a LOT more deaths there than the news reported, a LOT more!” They each told me of houses, condos and apartment buildings with multiple fatalities inside, of seeing a cumulative total that far outweighed the official count. None of the workers claimed to know why the count was wrong, only that they had witnessed something very different from the official story.

That is all I know about this. I have no explanation.
