It that volcano did not erupt in 2010 that closed down air travel across Europe then the snow would be whiter, still ash covering snow.

Fresh polar bear tracks on the N pole web cam this morning in the fresh summer snow

I thought it was the 4 rowers.
Actually the camera has drifted down to roughly 84.5 north latitude. At 60 miles for each degree of latitude, that is roughly 330 miles from the pole.
Bur what a great snapshot! If only they had gotten the bear! Thanks for alerting me!
The one I posted is 25 miles away from the N pole location. The other one is 350 to the south, The famous melt pond N pole web cam..
Camera No.1 seems to have fallen over now. Probably knocked over by the polar bear. Must be a very healthy polar bear. Unlike the dead one (i.e. ‘one’) in Svalbard that our dopey UK press are shouting about. It allegedly ‘died of starvation because of global warming’.

Last time polar bears in Svalbard made the UK news, Svalbard allegedly had a large polar bear population that posed a high risk to tourists. So where are all these other polar bears now? Are they starving too?
It was 25 miles from the pole back in April, when they first put it out. The following is from the guys who put the two cameras in place. “The two web cameras are about 200 to 300-m apart with Web Camera #2 looking to the right side of Web Camera #1 and Web Camera #1 looking away from Web Camera #2.” Read more at http://psc.apl.washington.edu/northpole/WebCams.html
Dumb bear. I liked that camera. But it makes a good update for my post: http://sunriseswansong.wordpress.com/2013/08/06/north-pole-camera-one-pictures-polar-bear-tracks/
Reblogged this on The Firewall.
“Less reflective” seems an odd comment. I imagine that, given the angle of attack of sunlight at the north pole, asphalt would be reflective.
OT Gun safety not being used by Arctic Rowing team.
Sleep with shot gun pointed at your head in their latest blog..
They would rather 1 – get head blown off by shotgun
over 2 – feed the polar bears
over 3 – squashed like a bug by pack ice
The shell is in the magazine and not in the chamber. They would need to rack a shell into the chamber to fire the weapon. It is useless in case of a bear attack.
Heidi Cullen is 100% nut. She’ll never live down tying the deaths of 19 firefighters to global warming. This woman has no morals and will lie about anything.
AMEN!!! Glad there a few in my boat that will survive the AGW storm of BS!!!
There are a whole lot in your boat, regarding Heidi.
The Moon is Black.
And my so is my white friend. He just thinks he is, mirror please someone..
