  1. TheJollyGreenMan says:

    From Wikipedia

… in the popular press the possibility of cooling was reported generally without the caveats present in the scientific reports, and “unusually severe winters in Asia and parts of North America in 1972 and 1973…pushed the issue into the public consciousness”…

This entry refers to a paper written by William Connolly, the wiki weasel that guards all entries on this topic, yet has gall to chirp at other authors that review papers written in the same special edition of a publication. Connolly openly refers to his own convoluted view of the Global Cooling on a wiki page that he patrols.

Global Cooling was never a mainstream viewpoint, get that through your thick skull, the Man has spoken…

    • Hey Idiot – globaloneycooling was taught in school [I remember the hysteria very well]; and on the MSM almost nightly for 20 years. It was settled science. Kool Aid Marxist moron.

      • TheJollyGreenMan says:

Ferdinand3, the fact that Man is capitalized should have told you that I was being sarcastic, actually insulting to the wiki weasel.

So get your arse to the wiki page of global cooling and see whether you can change what the Man – the right honourable Dr William Connolly – is teaching the kids. If you succeed, do tell us. And you do know that using right honourable in the previous sentence was another use of sarcasm? And learn to use the u in honour!

  2. Roy Spencer says:

any scientist who pens a nonfiction book entitled “The Genesis Strategy” shouldn’t be taken seriously, anyway. Reminds me of Isaac Asimov critiquing God in “Guide to the Bible”.

  3. gator69 says:

“We need to get some broad based support,
    to capture the public’s imagination…
So we have to offer up scary scenarios,
    make simplified, dramatic statements
and make little mention of any doubts…
Each of us has to decide what the right balance
is between being effective and being honest.”
    – Prof. Stephen Schneider,
    Stanford Professor of Climatology,
lead author of many IPCC reports

Looks like Nixon saw through him, and well before Schneider outed himself as a liar.

    • Eric Simpson says:

Ah yes, the long version. That’s even more damning. Particularly the point that they should “make little mention of any doubts.” That’s been through the grape vine, drum beaten in to these doomsayers. Everything these guys say is suspect. EVERYTHING.

And “make simplified, dramatic statements.” What does that mean? I take it as a lead ipcc author giving license to the rest of the politically motivated climateers to present fully fabricated, completely unsubstantiated hogwash.

  4. Brian H says:

Just proves that if Climate Science is ever right, it’s by accident.
