citations …” it is unclear what climate changes, if any, can be exoected… ” …. one assessment predicts 1 degree C cooling another 1 degree warming, You can cherry pick-up whatever yiu wish. Is it real science or playing with computer gamas/simulations..? (even if in 1975 they have only Atari cómputers)…
Note: it was written by noble columnist Walter Sullivan !

It is more Concorde than Jumbo.
In the spirit of free enterprise, this was America’s attempt to stop the European Concorde flying into the USA – climate was just an excuse.
Typical excuse used these days: we’re much smarter now. Shame we’ll probably have to wait another 30+ years to hear them say about dumb they were in 2014.

I can remember when popular (barroom) thinking was that rockets leaving the earth’s atmosphere would cause cataclysmic events that would lead to the end of the world as we know it. Times change, people don’t.
I recall that very well, along with a TIME magazine cover story that blamed nuclear power generation for global cooling. I took copies of that story to several lunatic meetings of global cooling hippies and they were not interested in facts. Some things never change 🙂
