  1. Jeff says:

I seriously doubt that sample is representative of Americans. It was likely linked to a alarmist site.

    • gator69 says:

Yes, the source must be considered.

“Overall, 45 percent of Americans believe in ghosts, according to a poll conducted earlier this year by the Huffington Post and YouGuv. The results are similar to a 2009 study conducted by CBS News that showed 48 percent believed in ghosts.”

  2. Edmonton Al says:

Therefore, Obama is causing the polar vortex.
Get rid of Obama and the polar vortex will go back to normal………;^)

  3. Pathway says:

Yes, get rid of the Little Dictator.

  4. Latitude says:

…that’s the same 40% that thinks Obambi is doing a good job

  5. LOL in Oregon says:

    But, but, but,
        “Climate Change”
    is causing the polar vortex!

    Now, AGW isn’t,
but the minimal sun cycle, PDO on cold, drift towards glaciation,
        IS changing the Climate!

    Of course, eco-religious fanatics
        taking lessons from Orwell
would have you believe it is AGW as they paste over “CC” on it!

    So,
        repent and be saved, Sinner!
And if you think you control the weather,
I have this bridge over the Columbia to sell’ya, cheap!

  6. someone says:

Would you have us believe, which we don’t, that your weather is the wholesome world weather?.
It isn’t, one place is hot, thee other is cold, btw., you wanna look at the rads, they produce heavy snows, ht0 snow. nuff said
    😐

  7. Yer Mama says:

The same way Jupiter’s weather is broken up into circular latitudinal zones, Earth’s weather is becoming more energized and breaking up into distinctly warmer and colder weather zones.

  8. Bob Knows says:

Animal Farm. Up is down. Red is white. Hot is cold. Freedom is slavery.

  9. rw says:

Apparently 100% of Americans don’t understand that the question as posed makes no sense.

  10. maasanova says:

A good number of Americans are more likely to believe in off-world alien beings than they do in the idea that the people on teevee just might not be telling them the truth about some things.

  11. Rational says:

40% of Americans believe such nonsense because 90% of them have no sense

  12. Bruce of Newcastle says:

The poll question is misleading as usual. I would answer yes to that question as solar activity is at 200 year low and the Sun affects climate strongly. That would be climate change. Rossby wave sinuousity appears linked with low solar activity not CO2.

The correct question would of course be “Is global warming causing the polar vortex?”

The answer to that would be quite embarassing to US News, so they didn’t ask it.

  13. Dave N says:

Considering that we’re constantly being told that everything is being caused by climate change, the results are hardly surprising. On the upside: that 60% of people aren’t completely stupid is actually encouraging.

    • Billy Liar says:

I like to replace the words ‘climate change’ with the words ‘weather change’. It makes warmist utterances so much more plausible; eg: the recent change in the weather has been attributed to ‘weather change’

  14. Andy DC says:

For the 40% that believe that climate change caused the polar vortex, I have a question. What caused cold waves before climate change took place?
