You would think that two billion nuclear bombs would have warmed things up a little bit. That is ten nuclear bombs exploding per square mile across the Earth’s surface. Shouldn’t someone have noticed?
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Nuclear Winter.

So they should maybe skip one banana this week?
Top 10 tips on how to survive your current nuclear winter:

Sh!t. Why not just go to Mexico? Maybe I’m just too logical.
I left the snowy northeast for sunny NC 20 years ago… Darn has it been that long, time is accelerating!
Brilliant!
Perfect response.
The nuclear flash and loud explosion is easily masked by the magic powers of Gaia farts.
Mann is brilliant enough to understand this.
Average U.S. temperature 21.8.
I don’t know if I would notice I will contemplate this after I get a nolice cold coke out of the oven.
I noticed. Before my eyes were blinded by their ‘science.’
Brought to you by the Snopes™ of climate sciHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Hard to know who is the crazier – the people who think this shit up, or the people that believe it.
On that note, I think a little of the residual heat from Hiroshima and Nagasaki is still causing my petunias to wilt this year.
My hotair comment:
You know what, even if the Arctic and Antarctic were melting away to
nothingto much less, it wouldn’t prove anything, other than that we have had some (probably natural) warming and / or cyclical phenomena. But that’s not happening. This year we have record levels of Arctic ice growth, and record Antarctic sea ice. And it just doesn’t feel any hotter, any different, than it did decades ago. And we got record cold all over the place, with right now, after noon, Chicago is experiencing windchills of -41°F. And why was the world record hot temperature set way back in 1913? Certainly after a century of runaway warming we would have broken that record somewhere, but, alas, the 1913 record still stands! Something is fishy. And another thing, when we look at the past 100+ years of temperature change, even when we have to try to peer through grossly mis-adjusted warmist data and a growing urban heat island effect, we see little discernible changes in the rate of early 20th century (low CO2) and later 20th century (higher CO2) change. It suggest NO signal from CO2. And we also know that the original IPPC contention that there was a documented causal relationship between CO2 and temperature was clearly rebutted in 1999, yet the ipcc fought this tooth and nail until 2003 when they finally conceded, and yet in 2005 Al Gore still deceptively put forward the discredited points about CO2 in his movie (yes, see what I’m talking about regarding Al Gore & CO2 in this key 3 1/2 minute video). Look, throughout history you cannot ferret out ANY effect of CO2. You can say that maybe there’s been an effect, or that
ourtheir theory suggests an effect, but data doesn’t show it. And the fact that we’ve had this 15 year temperature stall out, and that the warmist adjusted 20th century temperature record appears to have had only mild (NOT hockey stick style!) warming, and before that, going back hundreds of thousands of years and even hundreds of millions of years, there’s no evidence at all of CO2?s effect, all this suggests that the IPCC is plain wrong on CO2.You’d also think that after 90 years of unprecedented global warming, we’d see another world record fall: the Marble Bar heatwave, 1923-24
“…The world record for the longest sequence of days above 100°Fahrenheit (or 37.8° on the Celsius scale) is held by Marble Bar in the inland Pilbara district of Western Australia. The temperature, measured under standard exposure conditions, reached or exceeded the century mark every day from 31 October 1923 to 7 April 1924, a total of 160 days…”

Chicago’s coldest afternoon ? What is so special about afternoons in Chicago ?
No doubt if someone claimed that a place had the hottest afternoon ever you would go trawling back through the old newspapers to prove that place had a slightly hotter 3.44pm in 1932.
It has come to my attention that for cold snaps you take all claimed records verbatim, for hot periods you go looking for past info to disprove them. This non-scientific way of approaching events means you have a badly skewed output on cold v hot weather.
Just my 2 cents.
Also, can you guys over there stop using F for temps, it’s rather 19th C.

While it didn’t get to 36C, it was 25 January 1934, when there was a particularly stinking hot day –
“The crest of the heatwave was reached last Sunday when the wet thermometer showed 84.1F (29C) and the dry bulb 93F (34 C).”

“What is so special about afternoons in Chicago ?”
How insensitive of you Andy. “It’s so cold, even polar bears and penguins at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago were being kept indoors Monday” – CNN. Why don’t you care about the poor Polar Bears, Andy? (I would mention the four cold-related deaths in Cook County, but knowing humans take a back seat to polar bears in your bizzaro-alarmist world, that info would be meaningless to you.)
And take your fahrenheitism elsewhere bigot…
Andy seems to forget who started the climate pissing match.
Hey, Western Europe is having a bout of very mild temps. That would be news if it wasn’t for the near hurricane strength winds and flooding. The same Cyclone that is pulling arctic air masses into North America is triggering a constant stream of storms that are slamming into Europe. Funny how weather works.
Andy,
The folks at the Hadley Climate Research Unit in 2000 (they co-authored AR-3) predicted that in the near future children would not know what snow is. That is, northern hemisphere winters would not only by mild, but snow-less.
Nearly 15 years later, not only have they been proven wrong, but damn wrong. Now only does it still snow, but dangerously so.
all is well – except for the Fuku Flu
I have to stop shaking my head before it falls off. I can’t believe how stupid so many people are. I guess that’s why they are sheeple! What sort of moron thinks this stuff up?
