I have lots of relatives in Canada. Back in 2008, they bought the CBC/NPR/CNN portrayal of Obama as the hopey-changey genius of our time. The word ‘enchanted’ pretty well describes their feelings about Our Dear Leader.
By last year, any mention of Obama to my Canadian relatives results in a wretching sound. Now that they know he is a congenital liar, they can’t stand the sound of his voice.

If it is a question of sitting back and watching nothing get done or using the rules in play to get something done, any normal human being would choose to get something done. Calling President Obama a dictator belies your delusion of understanding the Constitution in some superior fashion. Read the Constitution, all of it, no cherry picking allowed. Besides, you underestimate the Supreme Courts’ role. Lawyers always push the envelope of the possible, the Supreme Court gets the last word. Oh, Lord, where to start?
One of the supreme beauties of the representative (republican) form of government established by the Founders is that the elected government has the obligation to lead – not to rule.
Leadership in our established form of government means that the prevailing politician/party has the obligation to get things done by compromising with the opposition party.
Read that again.
The prevailing party does not have license to RULE by decree. Of course, the vote of the majority is important, but the ruling politician/party is still expected to get the public’s business done by finding common ground with the opposition (minority) party.
This is a large reason why the Founders wanted governance over the common affairs of citizens to be made by elected bodies closest to the people. The federal government was only granted authority over international affairs, treaties, national currency, and national defense. All remaining laws were reserved to the States and to the People. Read the god*amned 10th Amendment!
Maybe the Little Dictator will use his authority to build the re-education camp that I want to build for matayaya and his or her friends. We don’t want to sit around and do nothing, do we?

Oh, I wish that were true, but we here in the USA have allowed our public education system to be commandeered by leftist idealogues who have no respect for the founding principles of this nation nor for the morally-grounded citizenry necessary to sustain it.

How is this a new thing for him for 2014?
