Hope And Change In 1974

1974 was the year Nixon resigned. Will history repeat itself 40 years later?

    Real criminals do not resign.

  2. Steven, this comment doesn’t relate to the posting it’s attached to, but I don’t know how else to get in touch…

You might find my article today…and the comments, many of which seem to revolve around you, interesting:

    • Thanks Ross, they can’t argue with the data, so they resort to ad homs.

I have degrees in science and engineering from ASU and Rice University BTW.

      • Thanks for writing back so quickly…perhaps you might just not publish this comment and e-mail me directly at [email protected] if you’re so inclined. Anyway, I’m curious why (assuming the “rumors” are true) you use a pseudonym… I can imagine some reasons though I guess you have to balance those against issues of credibility, such as we’re seeing in the comments to my article.

Hey Ross! I can only speak for myself, and my experience has been death threats. I have a very unusual name and can be identified easily. But more importantly I have a brother at NASA who has had to testify in front of congress on more than one occasion, and a nephew who was named after me who also works in DC.

          Then there was this…

          Protecting my family comes first.

        • Hey Gator,

I get it, and wasn’t trying to sound critical.

As I said, I can think of reasons to use a pseudonym.

Sometimes when I write about Islam or even about Obama, I think maybe I should use a pseudonym.

It would help Steven a lot if there were some way to prove the scientific credentials he has, but I don’t know of any way to do that while remaining anonymous.

          Stay safe out there!

          Ross

It seems a number of radio personalities in the Denver area follow this blog. Keep it up and good show!

    We’re not that lucky.

  4. Stephen, just thought you would be interested to know that if my stats on uClimate.com are right, then you are the world’s top climate poster! (At least in terms of number of articles).

    • That doesn’t surprise me. I get inspiration about every five minutes. (I never know where it comes from, either.)

    • Dave N says:

Pity the stats don’t distinguish between posts about climate and “others”, and that would include all sites, not just Steve’s. Also “volume” “importance”, thought that might be hard to quantify.

That is not to diminish Steve’s contribution, which I think is outstanding; probably the best at “calling out” the charlatans for what they are.

  5. Bill Hayes says:

Nixon resigned because he knew that impeachment was enevitable and he would certainly lose the case. No such circumstance, however you stretch the arguement, can be applied to Obama.

  6. slimething says:

Nixon only wished he could use the IRS against his enemies. Obama actually does, but not limited to the IRS and his enemies list includes ordinary Americans. He even publicly threatened those that oppose him. Now he’s going to court to defend his actions and deplorable misuse of power.

Even Communist Bernie Sanders is acting surprised that Congress may be a victim. What a maroon.
