Climate xperts say that UHI has no effect, which is why Denver is 6-15 degrees warmer than outlying areas at the same elevation this morning.
Obviously snow removal, pavement, concrete and heating several million homes has no impact on temperature, but tiny amounts of CO2 does,

How can this be when we are constantly reminded by alarmists that the northern polar region of our planet will warm at a faster rate than the rest of the northern hemisphere? Quick GISS, adjust that -65F Arctic air in the northern polar region…

Yesterday, in Calgary they were reporting temps that were 10 warmer than my station, just outside the city. No UHI here either…!!! My station will have to be adjusted upwards to ‘fix’ it….
And the vast majority of weather stations are where exactly ?
I would still like to know if the collapse of the Soviet Union resulted in lots of cold weather reporting stations simply disappearing from the world temperature data set. Removing lots of small numbers from a data set forces the average up without any changes in the rest of the data.

Yeah a simple test is to look at the outside temperature your car is reporting, if it has such as thing. As you approach, drive through, and depart a big city, the temperature rises and then falls. But some Chinese researchers who never provided their data got a paper published claiming UHI doesn’t exist, therefore as far as the alarmists are concerned, it doesn’t. LA LA LA LA LA LA LA.
