  1. EW3 says:

This is why a Republican controlled congress is impotent. (I’m a libertarian)
The media will block any message from them and then make them out as the bad guy.
Most people are totally ignorant of what Harry Reid has been doing.

  2. Bob Greene says:

I’m shocked that CBS would censor something like that. Shocked, I say.

  3. Streetcred says:

“Young people are being hamered by ObamaCare … ” Well they voted for him !

    • Mike D says:

Yeah, in spite of knowing that Social Security and Medicare will be bankrupt well before they get benefits, they still supported Obama and Obamacare. I don’t know what they were thinking.

      • They thought they were going to get a relatively painless, relatively easy fix to all that was going wrong; they still cling to that vain hope. They had the revenge-minded Insane Left in their ear, telling them that, and the inevitable tyrant (Obama) on hand, ready to take advantage of the situation. When Liberals wake up and realize they participated in a real, bloody (hopefully, only metaphorically, but not likely) coup d’etat–well, there may be too much water (or other precious fluid) under the bridge by then, for them to salvage their souls in this lifetime; I foresee, at the very least, a lot of premature heart attacks when reality hits, if the current avoidance behavior goes on.

      • “I don’t know what they were thinking.”

That is just it. They weren’t thinking. They voted him in on an emotional high that was just as real as the high they would get from crack – and just as disconnected from reality.

It was once said, during WWI, that the generation who came of age was the “Lost Generation”. Far too many of this current generation are not even connected to reality enough to be lost. They are the “Disconnected Generation” who believe wish, whim, fantasy, feelings, and angry demands create reality. Then if reality doesn’t follow as hoped for, they believe that it is the fault of the top 1% of wealth producers. They thereby demand that the top 1% must be FORCED to make it so. Hence their vote for Obama who made it quite clear that was exactly what he was going to do.

Meanwhile, back in reality, reality is what it is. For something to be consumed, it must first be produced. For something to be produced, someone must own the resources and have the freedom to produce it. To continue that production, those who produce it must be free to make and keep a profit sufficient to pay for future production. Destroy that freedom and the associated right of ownership, it becomes a rapid down hill decline into oblivion.

Sadly, we are well on our way to that end point of oblivion. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats show any serious will to make the changes necessary to reverse the decline. Talk, posturing, pretense, resolutions, press releases, and half measure self contradictory bills won’t change anything that will make a meaningful difference in the end result.
