Actually, It Is Nutty White Progressives That Terrify Me

I may be the only white resident of my apartment complex in Maryland. Even my dogs are black. I was just taking them for an early morning walk on the normally deserted trails around Columbia, Maryland when I encountered a white man in his late 40’s wearing a hoodie. He walked up to me and said :

Are you scared of a white guy wearing a hoodie? Isn’t it crazy all the racism being spread about people in hoodies?

I’ve never seen this idiot before, and those were the only words exchanged between us. He was clearly out on a mission to spread self-hatred and loathing at 6am Sunday morning.

Generally I find black people more interesting to talk to, because they haven’t been trained to hate themselves like most white people have.

Public schools are now actively teaching anti-white racism via the new anti-capitalistic “white privilege” meme:

I suppose the irony of it all completely escapes this nutjob.

  3. “Self-hatred and loathing” is clearly a catchy idea with you, and yes, the fellow acted like a numb-nut, and a reflexive “anti-white-racist”, but you missed a good chance there. I would have said, “I don’t think ‘race’ has anything to do with it; in fact, your greeting–since I am a stranger to you–could be considered a little scary. So scary is more in the actions than in the appearance, I think. Strange, or suspicious, actions, get it? But I gotta get my dogs walked, so see ya.”

Progressives of any color are dangerous. Some colors have broader powers, but all will steal your liberty in their own fashion.

I’ve been amazed at the things that get carved out as being the specific property of some racial or ethnic class and the progressives that buy into it about as reflexively as a fish hitting a shiny lure. So, all these years I’ve been wearing hooded sweatshirts is a Black thing and not protection from the weather?
I’d have avoided the guy like he had something that was catching. Who knows, that kind of stupidity could be contagious.

Hoodies are stupid to begin with.

    Let’s do some profiling here:
It can’t be William Tager. He’s been released four years ago but is in his late 60s.
Ted Kaczynski liked hoodies but he’s in his 70s and still in the big house.
Ward Churchill doesn’t wear hoodies—he likes war bonnets and Che Guevara berets. He’s too old and Steve would have recognized him for the Indian he is.
Ethan Krupp is younger, but his douchebaggery is a perfect fit and he’s probably aged through his Pajama Boy gig.

My money is on Krupp. It’s good he can get treatment under Obamacare.

Unfortunately, many white people have adopted the worst aspects of black culture. I don’t think it is racist to say that aspects of black culture are off-putting. Like playing horrible “music” extremely loud. It is just being objective and honest.

    • Gail Combs says:

I always thought “playing horrible “music” extremely loud” was an identification signal between drug pushers and druggies.

“Progressivism” is a clear and present danger.

    How big are the dogs?

Its not just schools who teach white guilt. Its built into a thousand years of Christian dogma. Here is a definition of Calvinism and “Reformed” Christianity from a recent web page, “those who adhere to a theological system centering on human sinfulness” Liberal atheists have learned all the “human sinfulness” that permeates western white culture, but don’t have a way to be “saved.”
