    Can America be corrupted and laid low by just a sloganizer?
    Apparently – slogans work, even for empty handed salesmen.
    Then most Americans seem to be easily lead, easily fooled?
    Maybe not. Maybe next time they will see through the stupid slogans and empty promises.
    I wonder, it’s such a monumental task.

      The problem is the press. They believe having the First Black President is epic, so nothing else matters. It is racism. They will not hold Obama to normal standards, because they believe he is incapable of normal standards, because he is black.

        If anyone had any doubts about how bad “Affirmative Action” is AND they are honest, this administration would convince them.

        Giving someone a job for any other reason than they are the best suited for the job is pure idiocy. Unfortunately it is done all the time.

      I have a lady friend who was a Captain in the PLA at the time. She told me the local military units stood down and refused to shoot. The shooters were units brought in from the hinterlands who did not speak the Beijing dialect. My mother-in-law was there the next day along with thousands of other parents who were pissed the government would kill kids. She pulled a little time for that one.

    Here are three snippets that show how it was done and why.

    Preface
    My thesis is that the KGB, beginning soon after the Communist takeover of Russia in 1917, implemented massive covert influence operations. Their goal was to destroy the core moral fabric of American society.     Covert Influence Payload
    Babette Gross, wife of KGB agent Willi Muenzenberg, explained the content of the Soviet payload to Stephen Koch:
    * You claim to be an independent-minded idealist.
    * You don’t really understand politics, but you think the little guy is getting a lousy break.
    * You believe in open-mindedness.
    * You are shocked, frightened by what is going on right here in our own country.
    * You’re frightened by the racism, by the oppression of the workingman.
    * You think the Russians are trying a great human experiment, and you hope it works.
    * You believe in peace.
    * You yearn for international understanding.
    * You hate fascism.
    * You think the capitalist system is corrupt.

    This payload exactly matches today’s PC-Progressive message. The message that Soviet covert operators propagated through American Willing Accomplices. The Willing Accomplices, wittingly or unwittingly, spread the anti-American message. And this message bloomed and grew into the pernicious set of taboos and strictures that we call PC today.     Then add in the 1934 speech in Congress by McFadden:

    And finally add in the last bit from the U.S. Congressional Record February 9, 1917, page 2947

    Mr. CALLAWAY: Mr. Chairman, under unanimous consent, I insert into the Record at this point a statement showing the newspaper combination, which explains their activity in the war matter, just discussed by the gentleman from Pennsylvania [Mr. MOORE]:

    “In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, ship building and powder interests and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press in the United States.

    “These 12 men worked the problems out by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by an elimination process, to retain only those necessary for the purpose of controlling the general policy of the daily press throughout the country. They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers……

    “This policy also included the suppression of everything in opposition to the wishes of the interests served. The effectiveness of this scheme has been conclusively demonstrated by the character of the stuff carried in the daily press throughout the country since March, 1915….

    One point of interest is Karl Marx, while he was writing was supported by his uncle Lion Philips, a banker. Phillips was grandfather of the founder of the well-known Dutch and international industrial concern, Philips & Co.

    I have often wondered if ‘Marxism’ was a giant joke purposely foisted on the soon to be serfs. This quote from Marx certainly supports that notion:

    Stalin certainly had a similar point of view of humanity as has several others enforcing Marxism.

    Jonathan Merritt wrote about Calvinist Christianity in a web site on Faith & Culture, defined Christians as “those who adhere to a theological system centering on human sinfulness” The liberal self hate is not really different from the fundamental theology of Christianity, that humans are all born as sinners. Those same guilt feelings fuel the whole environmental movement, feminism, and socialism.

      You are aware that you are conflating ‘Calvinist Christians’ and ‘Christians’. I was raised in Protestant churches in Europe and the US, in Baptist, Methodist and Presbyterian congregations. The only message repeated over and over was that we are to love one another, not hate humanity. Even the Baptists taught that it may be OK to hate the sin, but never the sinner.

      This is one more reason why lefties hate the church.

        Yes, Christian doctrine universally preaches original sin with hope of salvation coming only from Jesus. Humans are universally and inherently bad. That philosophy originated in Persia and Zoroastrianism, or perhaps before. It permeates “Progressive” feelings that we need GOVERNMENT control of our lives to keep us from doing bad, that corporations are all bad, that humans are destroying the earth and causing “climate change,” etc. Atheists have gotten past the hope of salvation, but the concept of universal human badness permeates their world view.

          Nope. Never heard any of that in my many years of being a member of many different congregations. Maybe you are speaking of Catholics? 😉

          Our founders were very religious men and understood that God gives us free will, which is why they were opposed to what Progressives want, and defined our rights as coming from our creator. My relationship or lack thereof with God is a personal and unique thing. Maybe you should try another source for your definition of what a Christian is or is not.
