Extreme Temperatures Becoming Much Less Common In South Dakota

In 1936, nearly one day out of four was either over 100 degrees, or below 0 degrees F in South Dakota. This sort of weather is inconceivable now, as the climate has grown much less extreme over time.

How about the bottom side, the days under 0F?

  2. omanuel says:

The only evidence you have is measurements that disagree with consensus opinions of 97% of the scientists receiving funds from the government.

  3. Andy DC says:

Less extreme weather is entirely consistent with a catastrophically warming planet, just as more extreme weather is as well. 97% of scientists paid to say so do say it is so, so it must be so. How are you qualified to argue with settled science?

  4. Al Gore quote: “It doesn’t get to be 120 degrees in South Dakota!”

Little does he know, the record high in North Dakota is 118, set in the 1930’s

Make sure your community is ready for climate change
Climate change is happening now — and we’ve got to be ready because we’re going to see more extreme weather.
That’s why we’re taking action. Last Tuesday, the President made a historic announcement with China that sets new targets for carbon pollution reductions.
And on Monday, the Administration released the Climate Resilience Toolkit to help our communities respond to our changing climate.
Check out these easy-to-use tools, including interactive maps and visualizations, that will help prepare your community for the impacts of climate change. See how you can help your community or business get ready.

Whether you’re a small business owner, planner, farmer, policy leader, or an interested resident, these tools can help you make sure that you have a climate-ready community or business.
Have questions about what climate change means for you, why it matters, and what we can do to fight it? Last Thursday, Dr. John P. Holdren, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, announced that he wants to answer your questions.
Ask Dr. Holdren your questions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Vine with the hashtag #AskDrH — and he’ll answer some of them on camera.

    Dear Editor,
The reason the White House sent me a warning on future extreme weather, is that three years ago, I sent my thesis Gaiaism… an environmentally based economy to Pres. Obama that included the research on a potential pole shift. Since then, I have been communicating with the White House on regular basis. Humanity is still producing one hundred million tons of CO2 daily which is destabilizing the fragile gaseous balance in the atmosphere, one to the reasons for the worldwide extremes in weather conditions. Biosphere Collapse-pole shift geophysical how & why.
The result of the Western Antarctic ice sheet dislodging:
Rotational Wobble (Chandler’s). The Crust presents the earth with an unbalanced distribution of weight, even a small (10 centimeters) displacement of the crust would cause the earth to wobble more (which ironically could induce more crustal displacement, thus causing more wobble, thus causing more displacement, etc.) Added bulges from the expansion beneath the crust would [email protected],orsen the imbalance. The diameter at the equator is 43 kilometers more than the rest of the Earth’s surface, due to centrifugal forces.
“In a polar region there is a continual deposition of ice, which is not symmetrically distributed about the pole. The earth’s rotation acts on these asymmetrically deposited masses [of ice], and produces centrifugal momentum that is transmitted to the rigid crust of the earth. The constantly increasing centrifugal momentum produced in this way will, when it has reached a certain point, produce a movement of the earth’s crust over the rest of the earth’s body, and this will displace the polar regions toward the equator.”

    John,
The information at the end of your e-mail is especially important about the “humming” noises.
These are caused by shifts in the multidimensional electromagnetic pressure pattern on Earth, which gets its ‘directional shift’ from EMF (electromagnetic field)communication between the [Earth] inner core, the sun and other cosmic forces.
Of course, this is not broadcasted by NASA, and so-called local officials play ‘dumb’ as to the ‘source’.
But essentially, it means a lot of dimensional ‘bending’ is occurring, which is the reason why so many planetary forces are going haywire at this time.

“In both cases, even though the causes of acoustic-gravity waves are of a quite understandable geophysical nature, they are indicative of the expected significant increase in solar activity and the geodynamic activity of our planet. There is no doubt that processes in the core rule the internal energy of our planet, therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 – 2014.” Dr. Elchin Khalilov, a geophysicist and a professor in Azerbaijan. The planet’s two largest ice sheets – in Greenland and Antarctica – are now being depleted at an astonishing rate of 120 cubic miles each year. That is the discovery made by scientists using data from CryoSat-2, the European probe that has been measuring the thickness of Earth’s ice sheets and glaciers since it was launched by the European Space Agency in 2010.
Even more alarming, the rate of loss of ice from the two regions has more than doubled since 2009, revealing the dramatic impact that climate change is beginning to have on our world.

    Biosphere Collapse by John Berbatis.
In the past ten years, there has been an exponential melting of the ice sheets and a noticeable disintegration of the ice shelves owing to ‘global warming’. The loss of mass from the underlying Tectonics Plates causes them to ascend (iso-static rebound), and this results in an increase in the intensification and frequency of global seismological activity. The seismic data of the past ten years confirm this conjecture. Furthermore, the ice shelves impede the flow of glaciers and ice sheets into to the oceans; and when the ‘polar regions’ are subjected to unprecedented seismic upheavals, these events will then cause the ice sheets and glaciers to be dislodged en masse into the ocean. This occurrence will then instantly destabilize the earth’s crust weight distribution (isostasy), and so precipitate a ‘crust displacement’ (Mag. 10+), that is, an axis change. The previous subterranean extraction of fossil fuels and water will greatly exacerbate this impending Apocalypse. Currently, the excessive amount of carbon and methane gasses in the atmosphere is causing catastrophic weather conditions, globally – and this situation will rapidly deteriorate into ‘a runaway climate’.

    Pole Shift by John White.
What will happen during a pole shift.
“The ultimate disaster! Enormous tidal waves will roll across the continents as oceans become displaced from their basins. Hurricane winds of hundreds of miles per hour will scour the planet. Earthquakes greater than any ever measured will change the shape of the continents. Volcanoes will pour out huge lava flows, along with poisonous gases and choking ash. Climates will change instantly, and the geography of the globe will be radically altered. If the pole shift is less than a full 180 degrees, the polar ice caps will melt rapidly, raising sea levels, while new icecaps will begin to build. And large numbers of organisms, including the human race, will be decimated or even become extinct, with signs of their existence hidden under thick layers of sediment and debris or at the bottom of newly established seas.”

2014 Boils Toward Warmest Year Ever with Three More Records Broken
By Miguel Llanos November 21st 2014.
Even if it’s freezing in your personal universe, Earth as a whole just broke three “warmest” records and is likely to see 2014 go down as the warmest since record keeping began in 1880, scientists reported Thursday.
Driven by record warm oceans, combined sea and land temperatures in October were the warmest on record, according to data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. On top of that, January-October was the warmest first 10 calendar months, while November 2013 to October 2014 was the warmest 12-month block.
Data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration showed where the records fell, in large part due to record warm oceans:
•Warmest October: The combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces was the highest on record for an October at 58.4 degrees F, or 1.3 degrees above the 20th century average and topping the previous record (2003) by 0.02 degrees.
•Warmest first 10 calendar months: The surface temperature for January-October was 58.6 degrees, 1.22 degrees above average and topping the previous record set (1998 and 2010) by 0.04 degrees. Ocean temperatures by themselves were 1.03 degrees above average, the highest on record for this period, beating the previous record (1998) by 0.05 degrees.
•Warmest 12-month block: The period of November 2013-October 2014 averaged 58.2 degrees, 1.2 degrees above the norm, breaking a record set just a month ago for warmest 12-month period.
October was “the sixth consecutive month where the ocean has been record warm,” Deke Arndt, chief of climate monitoring at NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center, told reporters. And the average ocean temperatures for each of those months “have all been the warmest for that month on record.”
“The oceans have been generally warming over time,” he said, especially this year, which he called “quite warm compared to even the warmest part of that history.”
“Clearly the oceans are driving the warmth that we’ve seen around the planet,” Arndt added.
And since the U.S. is only 2 percent of the planet, the current freeze and earlier relatively cool temperatures in the eastern half of the country don’t amount to much in terms of global temperatures.
“Every major ocean basin and all continents all had pieces, and some had significant pieces, of their area that were the warmest on record” between January-October, he added, referring to a NOAA map showing hot spots (below).
    NOAA
So what’s going on? Natural climate cycles certainly play a role, Arndt told NBCNews.com, but they tend to impact certain regions, not the entire planet. That leaves manmade global warming as a prime suspect.
“This is truly global scale warmth that we see and it’s consistent with what we’d expect with increasing greenhouse gases,” Arndt said.
“It is becoming pretty clear that 2014 will end up as the warmest year on record,” he added. “The remaining question is by how much.”
What’s surprising is that the warmth is building even without the presence of El Nino, the natural ocean cycle that impacts weather globally. The three warmest years on record — 1998, 2005 and 2010 — were tied to significant El Ninos, Arndt noted.

NASA Scientist Predicts Food Riots, Mass Deaths And Super Earthquakes Beginning 2015 Due To Extreme Cold 30 Year Period.

    Snow-storm
If you think the last few days of record setting snow and cold in Parts of upstate New york is just a freak event, than your not going to like what I am about to tell you. According To NASA Scientist/Climatologist John Casey that is just the beginning of what is to come during this next 30 yr cycle of Extreme cold which will be caused by a historic decline in the Suns energy output that will impact the entire world.
If Casey Is right, than not only will a mass number of the worlds people die by freezing and starving to death due to the extreme cold killing 50 percent of the worlds food supply, but you can also expect Super earthquakes, and more powerful volcanic eruptions across the globe.
Former NASA consultant, climatologist John L. Casey: ‘a radical shift in global climate is underway, 30-year cold spell will strike Earth
With nasty cold fronts thrusting an icy and early winter across the continental U.S. – along with last winter described by USA Today as “one of the snowiest, coldest, most miserable on record” – climatologist John L. Casey thinks the weather pattern is here to stay for decades to come.
In fact, Casey, a former space shuttle engineer and NASA consultant, is out with the provocative book Dark Winter: How the Sun Is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell, which warns that a radical shift in global climate is underway, and that Al Gore and other environmentalists have it completely wrong. The earth, he says, is cooling, and cooling fast.
And unless the scientific community and political leaders act soon, cold, dark days are ahead. Casey says the evidence is clear that the earth is rapidly growing colder because of diminished solar activity. He says trends indicate we could be headed for colder temperatures similar to those seen in the late 1700s and early 1800s when the sun went into a “solar minimum” – a phenomenon with significantly reduced solar activity, including solar flares and sunspots.
If he’s right, that would be very bad news. Dark Winter posits that a 30-year period of cold has already begun. Frigid temperatures and the food shortages that inevitably result could lead to riots and chaos.
Casey tells Newsmax, “All you have to do is trust natural cycles and follow the facts, and that leads you to the inevitable conclusion that the sun controls the climate, and that a new cold era has begun.” Casey is president of the Space and Science Research Corp., an Orlando, Fla., climate research firm. His new book debunks global warming orthodoxy. For more than a decade, he reports, the planet’s oceans have been cooling. And since 2007, the atmospheric temperature has been cooling as well.
“The data is pretty solid,” Casey says. “If you look at the 100-year global temperature chart, you look at the steep drop-off we’ve had since 2007. It’s the steepest drop in global temperatures in the last hundred years.”
