Obama – Government Should Be Collaborative And Participatory

Government should be participatory. Public engagement enhances the Government’s effectiveness and improves the quality of its decisions. Knowledge is widely dispersed in society, and public officials benefit from having access to that dispersed knowledge. Executive departments and agencies should offer Americans increased opportunities to participate in policymaking and to provide their Government with the benefits of their collective expertise and information. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public input on how we can increase and improve opportunities for public participation in Government.

Government should be collaborative.  Collaboration actively engages Americans in the work of their Government. Executive departments and agencies should use innovative tools, methods, and systems to cooperateamong themselves, across all levels of Government, and with nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals in the private sector.  Executive departments and agencies should solicit public feedback to assess and improve their level of collaboration and to identify new opportunities for cooperation.

Can we just tar and feather the guy? I think we need to bring that back. If not, they always get away with this crap.

  2. Frank K. says:

Gruber is now so famous, his actions have given rise to a new noun – “Grube”.

Grube (n) – (1) Someone who is easily fooled by a more intelligent elite esp. with regard to voting for government legislation. (2) a dupe, fool, or “rube”.

Here’s how to use it in a sentence:

Johnny thought the climate change laws need to be passed right away for the good of the planet. “Don’t be a Grube Johnny!” Mary replied. “It’s just a bunch of hooey cooked up by government climate scientists”.

  3. Mat Helm says:

    Faking the faker’s…

“Duke study: ‘Solution aversion’ has a role in climate change denial”

  5. Pathway says:

Government collaborating with industry is called fascism.

  6. D.SELF says:

Gruber was pointing out the fact that LIBERALS are STUPID. They had to convince LIBERALS to support the law not CONSERVATIVES, who never trust LIBERALS to begin with.

  7. rah says:

I used to be an optimist. My philosophy was to give people that benefit of the doubt within reason. Now my philosophy is that all people are assholes until proven otherwise. That goes triple for politicians and government workers.
