Three Years After Aurora – Still Silence

The Aurora shooter was a very bright kid, who entered a drug induced alternate reality graduate study program at the University of Colorado. Over a period of a few months, he went completely psychotic, thought he was a cartoon character, and shot dozens of people in a movie theater. The arresting officer believed that he had an accomplice. The boy’s father works for DARPA.

The judge assigned to the case immediately placed a gag order, which has never been lifted.

Nothing to see here, move along.

So when will the Aurora shooter take his seat in Congress? Or will he have to be satisfied with a tenured professorship at a major university?

The upcoming jury selection should be a blast!
His studies and participation in neuroscience breakthroughs seemed to have produced unfortunate results…

  3. Alan Poirier says:

Gawd, it’s easy to get paranoid about all this stuff. Did a quick Internet search on the Aurora killer. Potentially a false flag enterprise. Weird.

  4. People become psychotic.
Genetic, drug induced or persuaded, every culture has to deal with it.
But we shouldn’t elect them to positions of power.

  5. Tel says:

One look at his eyes, drugs were a factor.

Did they ever catch up with the girls he was dating online?

Has anyone ever found out what type of medical science he got his grant for?

  6. Tel says:

When I searched it said that Robert Holmes (the father) has a history of mathematics and software and works at FICO (Fair Isaac Corporation) not DARPA. He is deeply involved in the banking and finance industry, especially credit scores and fraud detection. I don’t think there’s any relation to DARPA, nor defence industries.

Also, the case has not been completely gagged, there are some progress notes on Wikipedia, mostly just arguing over whether he can plead insanity or not.

Recent events strongly suggest that we have absolutely no idea what our government is doing today, other than deceiving the public.

I agree with Ron Paul, the Republic is probably gone and public disorder is likely.

I am also confident that totalitarian world leaders have no real power, only false Delusions of Grandeur. I.e., humans were endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights of self-governance, and will be restored.

We both know, Tony, that the American judicial system has little to do with “finding truth” – – and far more to do with controlling the evidence that is presented in court.

I’m pissed [as a citizen and texpayer] that we’re three years post-fact and now – just barely – getting to a trial, which will go on and on for months. This entire exercise has only served to funnel vast amounts of taxpayer cash to the defense team – who are richly rewarded for every delay tactic, motion, pleading, etc.

Two big changes are clearly needed.

Death-penalty cases should be limited to those where guilt can be assessed on the basis of video, audio, and(or) multiple eye-witness accounts and supporting forensics. Any other type of case allows self-serving attorneys (both sides) to game the system and argue “he said – (s)he said”

Second, insanity and(or) mental incompetence should never be allowed as defense in major crimes involving violence. Simple human decency argues that only “insane” people would commit the kinds of brutality, mutilation, sexual violation, child molestation, cruelty, etc., etc. that arise in such cases.

What we need instead is the ability for the public prosecution to charge the accused with “Guilty as Hell, but Crazy as a Batshit”. That’s a standard that any jury of 12 peers ought to be able to get their arms around.

“Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity” is a linguistic Moibus strip that has only one edge – and no end. It’s crap-ola designed to fatten defense attorneys and thwart the very real need for publicly judged “justice”.

I don’t think the source of James Holmes’ dementia is pertinent to his guilt, which will be testified to endlessly by those who didn’t happen to die in his fantasy shoot-out. However, his parents and his psychologist and his mentors at UnivColorado – and perhaps dark figures in the pharmacological-mental warfare realm – also deserve (separate) investigation and attention.

      It gets even worse.

A guy tried to kill his wife, was judged insane and put in an institution. he gamed the system, convinced the head doctors he was sane. They let him out WITHOUT TELLING HIS EX-WIFE. He killed her within 24 hours of his release.

Judge Bars Some Images From Aurora Theater Shooting Trial
The judge overseeing the Colorado theater shooting case said Tuesday he will let prosecutors show some photos of the bloody crime scene and the shooter’s apartment but not others such as tattoos of a slain victim that name his children and could bias jurors.

Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. wrote in an order that he will allow many of the 215 photos for which prosecutors sought approval, despite defense lawyers’ objections that they are too gruesome or offensive.

Many depict dead or wounded victims — images the attorneys argued would traumatize jurors.

Samour said a number of photos were not unnecessarily gruesome or inflammatory given the nature of the mass shooting.

“They are not rendered inadmissible simply because they present vividly to the jurors the details of the shocking crimes charged,” Samour wrote.

Still, the judge isn’t allowing a handful of images, including a bloody emergency room and a survivor’s massive abdominal injuries. He also said prosecutors will have to prove the necessity of the disputed photos and video they want to use at trial.,,,,

Defendant James Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the attack at the Denver-area movie theater on July 20, 2012. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Defense attorneys don’t dispute that he was the shooter but argue he was in the grips of a psychotic episode…..

So the judge is barring relevant evidence because it might sway the Jury….

And the parents do not want a trial at all….

Accused Aurora Theater Gunman’s Parents Break Silence for 1st Time

The parents of James Holmes, the man accused in a 2012 movie theater rampage in Colorado, said their son “is not a monster” and expressed hopes that he gets institutionalized in their first public statement since the attack.

“We love our son, we have always loved him and we do not want him to be executed. We also decry the need for a trial,” said Robert and Arlene Holmes in a statement released today through a lawyer, Lisa Damiani.

The Aurora, Colorado, attack left 12 dead and 70 injured. Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity….

I am convinced that even diminished minds like Holmes do not want to die for their acts, and in fact have every expectation of living. Holmes is where he wants to be, the center of attention, a somebody. All those people are dead because society gave him numerous examples that they would not kill him on the spot.
