White House Says The US Constitution Doesn’t Apply If The Congress Disagrees With Obama

The White House on Tuesday rebuked Republican critics of its contribution to the United Nations climate pact, saying the criticisms are “hard to take seriously.”

Asked about congressional Republicans who want the Senate to have to approve an agreement, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that politicians who are skeptical of the science surrounding climate change are not qualified to judge the matter.

“These are individuals who — many of whom, at least, deny the fact that climate change even exists, so I’m not sure they would be in the best position to decide whether or not a climate- change agreement is one that is worth entering into,” Earnest told reporters Tuesday.

On April Fools day, there are still people who deny that we are watching a coup d’etat unfolding right under our noses.

Wikipedia: “Earnest graduated from Rice University in 1997 with a degree in political science.”

So what qualifies him to assess who is and who isn’t qualified to assess what is and what isn’t a fact?

    • John West says:

Just a few of the skeptical Senators better qualified to assess the situation: (All Wikipedia)

David Perdue has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (1972) and a master’s degree in operations research (1975), both from Georgia Tech.

Joni Ernst earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iowa State University, and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbus College.

Steve Daines earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.

I agree with you Tony. I keeping telling people to check out your site and showing your work. Most people are deluding themselves and just cling to the false god of government.

GEE, only those who believe in Unicorn Farts and Fairy Dust get to decide whether Unicorns and fairies are real. Such A Deal!

Considering less than half of Main Street believes in CAGW and most put it on the very bottom of their list of concerns we really really have a White House that represents the USA – NOT. But the Usurper was not placed in the White House to represent the American people as anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out by now.

I must stop eating at my desk and purusing this site. I just get pissed off most of the time.
‘deny the fact…’ I should pack up and move back to Canada. I hear it is warmer there.

Who are these mystery “many” people that deny the climate changes? Name just one Josh…

Split the states into the USSA and USA. United Socialist States of America and United States of America. I am sick of these criminals.

I am not saying that a separation wouldn’t be a good idea — but it has been tried before and it didn’t work out. Sort of like when a wife wants a separation but her husband beats her into submission and chains her to the bed…

if it is an addendum to existing treaty (as I was told) then we have big problem stopping it.
it doesn’t have to go before senate as its already been ratified.
we need to remove ourselves as signatory on the original treaty.

The official UN Framework Convention on Climate Change: http://unfccc.int/essential_background/convention/background/items/2536.php

Whether or not Obama can get away with a simple ‘agreement’ or if he needs a ‘treaty’ remains to be seen.

My comment on Treaties vs Constitution

The USA and States do have the right under the Constitution to nullify a treaty that is harmful to the USA.

      3) A treaty can be nullified by a statute passed by the U.S. Congress (or by a sovereign State or States if Congress refuses to do so), when the State deems the performance of a treaty is self-destructive. The law of self-preservation overrules the law of obligation in others. When you’ve read this thoroughly, hopefully, you will never again sit quietly by when someone — anyone — claims that treaties supercede the Constitution. Help to dispell this myth.
“This [Supreme] Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty.” – Reid v. Covert, October 1956, 354 U.S. 1, at pg 17.

Our biggest problem is getting a government that protects the interest of Main Street and not the interests of the Globalists who wish to destroy the USA. (This is why the old guard RINO Republicans HATE the tea party Republicans. This is why Soros started up Occupy Wall Street to compete with the Tea Party.)

  8. Andy DC says:

Obama got his big ears boxed bigtime during the midterm election. His response to the word of the people, more arrogance and power grabbing than ever before. Far worse than Jimmy Carter. If the Dems don’t get blow out big time in 2016, it will be very surprising.

    • Gail Combs says:

Lets hope so. Of course if the choice is between Hitlery or the Twig off the Bush, who cares. One is worse than the other.

  9. ColA says:

I feel so sorry for you fellas …… but NOT sorry enough to swap Abbott for Obama!!!!

  10. Bob123 says:

The Constitution has not mattered to these clowns for some time. They view it as if it’s some dusty old document that has long become irrelevant. They simply hate that it is designed to keep their wild ambitions in check.
