For organisers of cherry blossom festivals in Washington DC, Tokyo and Auburn, the trickiest part of the annual event is forecasting when the trees will flower, and hoping they bloom during the scheduled dates.
Specialists at the Royal Botanical Gardens Sydney say global warming is affecting when traditional late-winter and early-spring plants – from wattles to jacarandas –are flowering. Seasonal variations in rainfall and temperature can complicate timing, too.
Contrary to what most people think, a warm winter causes the cherry trees to bloom later.

Let’s test that theory out. Cherry blossoms in Washington DC have bloomed very late the last three years, coinciding with very cold winters.
Virginia January-March temperatures have dropped about two degrees since 1992.
Cold winters correspond with late blooms, and warm winters correspond with early blooms. This should be obvious to anyone with an IQ over 30, which excludes climate experts.
On March 14, 1946 – the blossoms had already opened.
This year had the latest cherry blossoms on record, and the Potomac was frozen solid on March 10.
But the stupidity is worse than it seems. Three years ago the geniuses at the Washington Post predicted global warming would make cherry blossoms bloom in February – right before three of the latest bloom years on record in April.

Climate experts have no idea what they are talking about. If cherry blossoms bloom early, they blame it on global warming. If cherry blossoms loom late, they blame it on global warming. They are complete morons.
Without morons, there would be no governmentium!
A major research institution (MRI) has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science.
The new element has been tentatively named Governmentium (Gv). Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.
A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take from four days to four years to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of three to six years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.
In fact, governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.
When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

In the UK the Independent has a front page article about 2015 being the hottest year on record, despite the fact that there are no figures beyond July.

Of course this is based on suspect NOAA figures, but apart from that, I can’t make much sense of the figures quoted.
The article states:
“Other scientists agree that the scene is now set for another record hot year that breaks last year’s high by a significant amount – as much as 0.1C higher than the 2014 annual average temperature record of 14.57C. 2015 is currently on track to hit 14.68C.”
However, according to NOAA the mean global temperature from 1901-2000 was 13.9c, and the 2014 anomaly was 0.74c, which would make the 2014 absolute temp. 14.64c, not 14.57c.

If the 2015 temp. is 14.68c the increase over 2014 (based on actual data) would be only 0.04c.

Trees are a lot like ice. It’s almost impossible to “adjust” trees. Like an ancient forest emerging from a melting glacier, spring bloom times are hard to “adjust” away.
But I have faith my government will find a way.

Just from what has been presented on this blog, several books could have already been written.
Maybe they have and I don’t know it.
However, a film is coming out ‘Climate Hustle’
It has been a long time in the making and there is a push (of which I am involved in a minute amount) to get it into theaters (or theatres depending on where you live.)
It is, of course, available for purchase and I recommend it.
On Another note, I have come to believe that the NOAA (the applicable part) has become the leader in climate corruption in the world, much to the dismay of some others within the organization that are very much dismayed. I have one, possibly two, former students who are employed by the NOAA>
