In 2008, CU professor Mark Williams predicted the demise of Colorado skiing.

February snowfall in Boulder has nearly doubled, with this February being the snowiest month on record in Boulder.
And the ski season is getting longer, with more and more November snow days.
Why can’t these Boulder NOAA employees simply adjust away the snow? I took this picture on Sunday riding to Whole Foods.
Boulder is truly the epicenter of climate stupid.
So what has changed in Boulder? The trees are a lot bigger now than they were 50 years ago. Compare the 1965 NCAR photo (left below) with today (right below.)
“… 10.4 degrees warmer by 2100.”
Wow! What I wouldn’t give to see the “figuring” behind that claim. 😆
WOW, one degree a decade and they didn’t even get one degree a century in the 19th century.
CO2 is not causing climate change

ANKARA, TURKEY – DECEMBER 02: Turkish soldiers are seen during a heavy snowfall before Commander of Kosovo Security Force Rrahman Rama meets Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Hulusi Akar at the headquarters in Ankara, Turkey on December 02, 2015.
Reader’s comment: There are these rumours that the Turkish leader Erdogan is not really convinced that global warming aka climate change is the biggest security threat. Gee, I wonder why.
See? See? Right again! The snow trend is broadly consistent with the anthropogenic global warming theory! Professor Williams said in 2008 the ski resorts should be in good shape for the next 25 years. Colorado may be getting more and more snow until 2033 but then it will start going to hell. Also, Williams will—not may— be retired by then.

In case you hadn’t noticed. The global warming canary has not flown up to Alaska recently. Could this pic be an indication of the reason why?

Col. Harlie Bodine, commander of the 611th Air and Space Operations Center, U.S. Air Force, spent the day with the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard’s rescue squadrons during an immersion flight, Nov. 24, in and around the JBER area. The purpose of the immersion flight was to provide Bodine the opportunity to have first-hand experience with the missions and capabilities of the 210th, 211th and 212th Rescue Squadrons, which are often tasked by the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center to execute search and rescue missions across Alaska as part of their civil search and rescue commitment. The day’s demonstrations included an air refueling mission in which an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter was refueled by an HC-130 King aircraft, as well as a hoist extraction demo from a Pave Hawk.(U.S. Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
