What Sane People See

A few of the amazing things I saw today

Progressives look at the scene below and imagine they see greenhouse gas emissions destroying the climate. I see food, heat, light, communications and a beautiful climate.

Suffice it to say, progressives are severely mentally ill. Unlike this fellow who ran across the trail right in front of my bicycle this afternoon.

I see beauty everywhere, and wonder how we deprogram progressives from their Al Gore/Barack Hussein Obama brainwashing? Life is too short to go through it as a useful idiot to the deep state.

I’m with you Steve, of course there are problem that is why am trying to breed river blackfish.
River Blackfish are a native fish in eastern Australia that are under pressure from all the usual things like farming practices, logging ,trout etc .
I have successfully bred the fish for four years so far with the eventual aim to release them back into the wild one day.

Wonderful mild February here in Wisconsin, too bad I spent a good part of the day with a leaky kitchen faucet. On a trip back from the hardware store I had to slow down for about 20 Canada geese in just up the street. But I didn’t take a photo.

On another front, I’m checking the national radar to see how the Oroville Dam is doing. The nightly news, CBS, was silent on the topic, they spent fully 20 minutes of their pitiful half hour broadcast bashing President Trump. I guess they don’t give a shit about the people in the path of that disaster.

And my latest obsession, I do a daily Google news search on – Methane 86. I wonder, what do most people imagine when they hear that “86 times more potent than CO2” bullshit statistic?

Will there be a video of your testimony next week?

    • RAH says:

From what I’ve read today the outlook for Oroville is not good. More rain than was anticipated is now forecast to fall during the series of storms coming in.

    • R. Shearer says:

I think it’s just about impossible to run over a Canadian goose. Now, ducks are a different story.

      • RAH says:

No way man. Many of the large facilities this truck driver delivers and picks up from have retention ponds that the honkers love to hang around. I could not count the times I have stopped to let a line of Canadian geese and goslings pass across the road in front of me like they owned it. Could take out half a dozen of them at times.

They are entertaining though. Many a time I have passed the time feeding geese while backed into a door at a facility waiting to be loaded or unloaded. They’re smart like seagulls and will waddle along from truck to truck until they find some driver that will chuck pieces of bread out the window for them. I have even seen them eat Doritos.

BTW those geese fly at night also. A few years ago headed southbound on I-69 south of Ft. Wayne, IN I had one crash into my drivers side window well after sunset. I was going to Shelbyville, IN to deliver a load I had picked up in Michigan. The goose hit the outside edge of the west coast mirror first breaking off the piece that holds the mirror in the frame then hit the side window. Scared me. The mirror dangled by it’s heating wires for a split second then fell off. I had to stop at my terminal in Anderson where they gave me a loaner truck to take my load on to deliver in Shelbyville.

A friend of mine had a wild turkey crash through his windshield driving along I-55 down in Mississippi.

You seem to be making good friends with those gopher or groundhog things.. :-)

Pictures every day.. cute lil fellas, for sure :-)

Not being in the USA , not sure exactly what they are called. :-(

    • RAH says:

Prairie Dogs. They live in colonies, sometimes huge colonies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prairie_dog

    • Rud Istvan says:

They are called prairie dogs. Five species (varying south/north) of genus Cynomys. Key food source for rattlesnakes and endangered blackfoot ferrets. A huge western North American range cattle/horse problem, since stepping into a burrow can break a leg. They also transmit bubonic plague (like other rodents).
I have a super scoped variable power 700 Rem cal 0.0556 (rem 223) heavy barrel bedded synthetic stock sniper rifle specifically designed to take prairie dogs (and related pasture vermin) at 600+ Yards. Works good on related Wisconsin woodchucks (a marmot species). Mostly hand loads, dont trust commercial ammo at that range.
I am a very ecologically minded farmer who manages my land for max wildlife–white tail deer, wild turkey, ruffed grouse, small game (like rabbit and squirrel), raccoon, lynx, coyote… even an occasional black bear. We have wild honey bees and plentiful raptors. Even bald eagles that come up from the Wisconsin riverway 5 miles away in winter. Were grooming the horses one January, looked up, and a 6 foot wingspan ‘juvenile’ was preening in the burr oak over the winter horse shed. Wow, my kids learned a lot that day.
Tony is photoing non pasture wilderness areas. PDogs and mule deer bucks in post rut.. Both are good. But I have to take a bit more care on my farm concerning woodchucks and such for sake of the hundreds of dairy cows that pay the rent. Always mind the fences and the pastures…

      • Gail Combs says:

That is the nice thing about living on a farm or near farmland. You get to see a lot of wildlife.

It occurs to me the big difference between the city folk and the small town folk is the ability to own property and your accompanying responsibility for caring for it. With the Tea Party Protests, the areas were left cleaner than when the protestors started. With the Occupy Wall Street crowd tons of garbage and vandalism was left.

If you rent all your life, you can trash the place, move out and leave the landlord with the mess just like you did with your Mom. If you OWN the property it is YOU who pays for it if you do not care for it properly.

        • Winnipegboy says:

          Very solid point.
I have a similar theory: the further away from agriculture you get, in time and geography, the weirder you get.
Think central Tokyo, NYC, LA etc.
Not many pink haired eco-nazi folks coming from towns that have a John Deere dealership downtown.

I have a 5 acre wooded lot in New Hampshire. You see turkeys and deer all over the place, and during Summer and Fall, I hear the coyotes and fisher cats crying out in the woods at night. Lots of critters.

I live near the centre of a city of 360,000 people. But I am blessed in that my home backs onto the Thames river which runs through the city. Today we had a wild turkey strutting around our front yard and then later on, a bald eagle sat in a tree in our back yard. If this is a sign of man destroying the environment, then bring it on. And I see that Tony appreciates the glory of nature perhaps even more than I do. I do wonder if hysterical warmists are capable of seeing the beauty in nature or does their neurosis distort their outlook to such an extent that they can only see Hell in the Garden of Eden we call home?

    • griff says:

Living near the UK Thames you had me wondering for a minute there!

We get Swans (owned by the queen) and also lately Ring Necked Parakeets, which look out of place… there are rumours they came from the film set nearby where they shot scenes when they made the ‘African queen’

  8. AndyOz says:

    Great photos Tony,

I spent this morning having coffee with some friends of mine.
Climate alarmists see ocean levels rising and demand higher taxes on poor people.
I see a beautiful beach and the blue Indian Ocean.
Bizarre, but after 8 years of listening to the same climate propaganda, you’d think they’d change the channel.

  9. RickS says:

?progressives are severely mentally ill” ?

Not necessarily ! Evil is not necessarily mentally ill yet those who despise God could be if not should be considered Mentally Ill, but that is from a “Spiritual” aspect !!

“and wonder how we deprogram progressives” ???

And that “cannot” be done !

These people have fundamentally made the choice, and they embrace that choice, those minds will not be changed, even as destruction comes upon them !

They (Progressives, Marxists, Leftists, etc…) will even stand together and “curse” God, even as destruction falls upon them as they do it, never turning back as they are completely destroyed, this was told eons ago, of what would happen at the end of days !!

Look what’s happening in the streets today, evil completely enraged as leftist anarchists rumble through the Cities, Universities, Colleges, accompanied by Muslims, Homosexuals and destroyed minds, nothing different than Nasi’s, Leninists, Maoists, “control” the masses, and if the masses don’t abide, KILL THEM, it’s “good” for the Nations which easily proves how “easy” it will be for the [ The Thing that should not be ] (If you’re interested in who or what that is, click your shoes/boots/feet down on the ground, then look down, and possibly (Perhaps) you will see/understand its Kingdom) to wipe out those who do “not” fall along (Inline) and into place, it’s “Place” as it devours the Planet !!!

President Donald Trump is basically a good, descent and honest Man…

DT will risk his life “every” time He is outside his Walled/Protected zones, I hope He absolutely “see’s” this ? ! ?

Obama was “protected”, very much like a “pre” Beast, where most every “human” was with Him, and that below also, but DT is despised from/by both, and you not only”see”, but you “feel” their “hatred” towards Him !!!!!!

Never before, in the “History” of the United States, nor the “Western” World, could/would you ever see Americans and Leftist/Progressives dance and “celebrate” in the streets after the assassination of an American “President”, but that is the “New” World (ORDER) that “WE” now live amongst, AND-IT’S-ONLY-GOING-TO-GET-WORSE !

    Evil Timez !

Israel took (Captured) the Temple Mount circa the 1967 Israeli/Muslim War, the “CLOCK” started then, and per the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, THAT-GENERATION-SHALL-NOT-PASS, yet the “end” comes ! ? !

    2017 – 1967 = 50 years !!!

Anyone have a guess at how long a “Generation” is ?????

In “Biblical” terms, a “generation” is “usually” considered, 60yrs !

Does anyone remember [ Escape from New York ], now take a look at our inner Cities, the disease starts (Started) there, and it will spread, watch…

God Bless President Donald J. Trump, help Him and keep Him, and PROTECT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !

People who have a different political to oneself are not automatically ‘mentally ill’.

Mental illness is a distressing medical condition, with whose sufferers we should share our sympathy.

People who have a different interpretation of scientific theory and observation to oneself are not mentally ill.

Science based debate will resolve the truth of it.

    • AndyG55 says:

      ” not automatically ‘mentally ill’”

But you are. And no, we don’t sympathise. you are what you are, a pestilent little cockroach.

2000 years of global Temperature based on non-tree ring proxies
      Loehle and McCulloch

The Medieval Warming Period (MWP) was significantly warmer than the bimillennial average during most of the period 820 – 1040 AD. The Little Ice Age was significantly cooler than the average during most of 1440 – 1740 AD. The warmest tridecade of the MWP was warmer than the most recent tridecade, but not significantly so.

      • Griff says:

        Yes? And?

And now the temps are going up again, rapidly in geological terms, driven by human CO2.

That science is entirely compatible with your chart.

        • AndyG55 says:

“now the temps are going up again,”

There NO CO2 warming signal in the whole of the satellite data era

        • Gail Combs says:

Griffy, — Current modern warm period is driven by THE GRAND SOLAR MAXIMUM not CO2.

In the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics, Usoskin et al. “present the first fully adjustment-free physical reconstruction of solar activity” covering the past 3,000 years, which record allowed them “to study different modes of solar activity at an unprecedented level of detail.” Their reconstruction of solar activity displays several “distinct features,” including several “well-defined Grand minima of solar activity, ca. 770 BC, 350 BC, 680 AD, 1050 AD, 1310 AD, 1470 AD, and 1680 AD,” as well as “the modern Grand maximum (which occurred during solar cycles 19-23, i.e., 1950-2009),” described as “a rare or even unique event, in both magnitude and duration, in the past three millennia.” Source

        • Gail Combs says:

Griffy, the current increase in temperatures occurred in a decade IN THE mid 1800’s! Ice cores from the Freemont Glacier show it went from Little Ice Age cold to Modern Warming warm in the ten years around 1850.

An ice core removed from the Upper Fremont Glacier in Wyoming provides evidence for abrupt climate change during the mid-1800s….

At a depth of 152 m the refined age-depth profile shows good agreement (1736±10 A.D.) with the 14C age date (1729±95 A.D.). The δ18O profile of the Upper Fremont Glacier (UFG) ice core indicates a change in climate known as the Little Ice Age (LIA)….

At this depth, the age-depth profile predicts an age of 1845 A.D. Results indicate the termination of the LIA was abrupt with a major climatic shift to warmer temperatures around 1845 A.D. and continuing to present day. Prediction limits (error bars) calculated for the profile ages are ±10 years (90% confidence level). Thus a conservative estimate for the time taken to complete the LIA climatic shift to present-day climate is about 10 years, suggesting the LIA termination in alpine regions of central North America may have occurred on a relatively short (decadal) timescale.

Given, Dr Evans ~11 year lag between changes in solar energy and changes in earth climate that puts the increase in solar energy ~1840. (solar cycle 8 – 1833 to1843 with a peak sunspot number of 210)
