EPA 1983 : 10.3 Inches Of Sea Level Rise By 2025

In 1983, the EPA’s most moderate forecast for sea level rise was 262 mm by the year 2025.

There has been no change in sea level at Los Angeles since the day the EPA forecast was made.

2024 is gonna be a doozy for SLR. For sure. Yup. Trust the EPA on this.

Why millennials are ditching religion for witchcraft and astrology

This could be very good news for climatology. The kids are looking for a new creed after ditching their ancestral faith. If Katharine, Gavin, Kevin and Michael play their cards right …

    • Arn says:

Well-since the start of the hippie era your western children(and young grown ups) are told to ditch their values and religion for whatever as long as it is something else.
Be it gurus, hippies, drugs, indian mystic, islam or whatever.

And all this was planned almost 100 years ago by the franfurt school and their(+sigmund freuds)polymorphic perversion.
The destruction of families was key part of this plan as people from broke families(or without parents) are much easier to influence.

      • Rob says:

So translation: if you aren’t a conservative Christian or perhaps a Jew (but not a Muslim as apparently that isn’t a religion) and you don’t have the same views as people pre 20th century then you or family is destroyed and you have no values.

Christians and religious folks in general can be so crazy. The scary thing is they are totally oblivious to how crazy they can be.

        • Arn says:

1)I’m not christian nor a western guy, just living tgere

2)just pointing out frankfurt school agenda

3)islam is a religion by definition& one of the three abrahamid ones

Freud: everything can be explained by sex

Missing the target again. Windage and elevation, Rob. Rawls doesn’t cut it.

Just an FYI that came out this week. So, how do you think they are going to get around and / or explain Tony’s observation above and induce the required panic and concern?

Fossil coral reefs show sea level rose in bursts during last warming

“Our results offer evidence that sea level may not rise in an orderly, linear fashion,” said Rice coastal geologist and study co-author Jeff Nittrouer.

Given that more than half a billion people live within a few meters of modern sea level, he said punctuated sea-level rise poses a particular risk to those communities that are not prepared for future inundation.

“We have observed sea level rise steadily in contemporary time,” Nittrouer said. “However, our findings show that sea-level rise could be considerably faster than anything yet observed, and because of this situation, coastal communities need to be prepared for potential inundation.”

This makes absolutely no sense unless these rises are GLOBAL. You just don’t get catastrophic sea level rise in a single place. And where is the water being stored for this event? Yet, the scientifically illiterate masses goaded by the MSM will panic and assume a tsunami is on the way. A better explanation for these coral formations is crustal tectonics.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

”… Earth’s sea level did not rise steadily but rather in sharp, punctuated bursts when the planet’s glaciers melted during the period of global warming at the close of the last ice age. The researchers found fossil evidence in drowned reefs offshore Texas that showed sea level rose in several bursts ranging in length from a few decades to one century.”

It’s unfortunate these sudden, punctuated bursts happened so long ago and we don’t know why. If they happened today we’d be assured by National Geographic, Bill Nye and the New York Times that they were caused by anthropogenic CO2.

    • RW says:

I would think it would depend on the local geography (including the sea floor) and the global sea level at the time of such rapid local rise. A land-locked and empty basin (which could be submerged now) could have filled up rapidly due to glacial melt at the end of a glacial period, yet much later on been ‘united’ with the global sea level once global sea level rise enveloped the (previously) land-locked basin. Again, this would all depend on the local geography and the global sea level at the time.

  4. Steve Case says:

Sea level for the last 30 years is about the same as it was for the 30 years prior to 1950. When you look at all the claims for acceleration, it’s always since the ’80s. That’s because the rate of sea level declined from 1950 to 1980. It’s just like the Arctic sea ice B.S. that Tony points out. They are cherry picking the low point in the record.

The satellites since 1992 show a straight line. There’s a lot of fishy manipulations going on with the satellite data – that’s for sure – but any acceleration imminent or otherwise that they find will most likely be a manifestation of re-written data.

    • KTM says:

The graph provides its own historical average for comparison.

1 – 1.5 mm per year, according to the rightmost column.

Their very most conservative estimate is 5+ mm per year. Their high-end estimate is almost 33 mm per year.

They probably thought they were moderating previous even wilder estimates, like the 1965 expert panel who predicted 10 feet of sea level rise by 2000, then another foot per year afterward. Of course, they offered their own more moderate estimate of only 4 feet per 10 years after Y2K.

This sea level rise stuff is the achilles heel of the Warmists. They can’t claim that the physics of thermal expansion has changed, they have 100+ years of data at sites all over the globe. None of them exhibit any notable acceleration, and even if you are willing to squint at the wiggles and believe there is acceleration going on the seas aren’t rising by a foot per year, or an inch per year, or even by 5 mm per year. It’s blatantly obvious that they got this wrong all along the way.

      • Colorado Wellington says:

“they have 100+ years of data at sites all over the globe”

True, but we also have a blatantly obvious and much more extensive record of murderous progressive failure and misery.

It doesn’t bother them. They keep pushing more of the same.

  5. Arn says:

The most ‘funny” thing is that there are hundred of thousands older leftie
    people out there
a)were already grown ups when global cooling was promoted by the global mafia((the only real global threat on this planet btw)
and do not remember that any more.

b)are living for decades by the sea and can see with their own eyes(by coastlines ,harbours etc) that sea level rise has not change a iota in the past 3 decades compared to the previous 3 decades and that the rise is barely
    existent and insignificant.

And still they refuse to trust their own observations, memories and experiences and rather believe pathelogical liars who are wanna-be supercompetent lions in theory .

    but incompetent chickens in practise.

    • Rob says:

They are believers and people who believe in something generally refuse to accept reality.

      • Colorado Wellington says:

I don’t know how you arrived at such a conclusion but I noticed quite a while ago that you profess your beliefs and witness to your faith at every possible occasion …

You wouldn’t be projecting, would you?

  6. Lasse says:

Conservative as I am I rely on old style measurements Sea level gages.
The have a past of rising round 1,5 mm/year.
42 Years gives a rise of 50 mm.
Are conservative in US relying on the remote measurements by satellite?
They have a past of 3,1 mm/year and 130 mm up to 2020.

I hope Trump will change EPA and US to more a more reliable source.
