    that was my second tipoff following climate gate. i had been under the impression AGW hypothesis was supported by actual measurements, until i saw how scant data was tortured into a completely virtual product of their algorithms.

    when asked on tv why they corrected the wrong way for UHI, the guy kinda turned white and said, “oh i’m a not scientist. i’m just a programmer.”

      It’s the same kind of evidence that convicted Captain Dreyfus, or at least it verges on that.

      Come to think of it, there was also a consensus in that case, at least in France. (At one time there were only about two dozen Dreyfusards in the entire country.)
