This is science fiction.

This is the same science fiction, but officially sanctioned  by the government for perpetuity.

he is a deranged man obsessed with sea level rise. some kind of mental disorder i think.

  2. omanuel says:

“Consensus science” (an oxymoron) is a mentally ill response to FEAR OF NUCLEAR ANNIHILATION in AUG-SEPT 1945 that frightened world leaders into uniting formerly independent governments by the people on 24 OCT 1945 into the United Nations.

  3. oz4caster says:

But the Antarctic has been cooling since 1982, so no worries anytime soon.

However, coastal areas will be severely inundated the next time a large meteor hits a big ocean. Not likely a matter of if, but when. About 35 million years ago a big meteor slammed into what is now Chesapeake Bay. That would be a HUGE disaster today.

All the glaciers will melt one of these days in the distant future as the sun very slowly increases in intensity. Eventually the oceans will boil away, the atmosphere will be driven away, and what is left of Earth will be fried to a crisp, if not completely absorbed into the red giant sun. This is real science.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Season 4 Episode 22, Flaming Ice, 3 March 1968
IMDB “Investigating why the world’s oceans are rising, the Seaview finds a race of Frost Men at the Polar Cap who are increasing the temperature and they want the submarines’ reactor to help them leave the earth.”

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Season 4 Episode 18, 4 February 1968
IMDB “The Seaview rescues two scientist from a climate control project at the South Pole but something else is on the ship on a killing spree. The Seaview has to shut down the project before the world’s climates change.”
Either James Hansen or protege Gavin Schmidt also appear in this episode.
At 10 and 42 min, professor with climate experiment out of control wanted to heat the Antarctic ice cap to make more temperate or tropical zone, at 44 min, the killing monster (mutant professor) who “needs heat to survive” says “the control of the world’s weather will eventually bring me to control the world.”

What is the date there? IDIOT !!

That was before Zwally corrected the erroneous GRACE record.

The Antarctic is WELL BELOW ZERO at every point that is shade even slightly orange.

The ONLY place that there is any loss is over a volcanic hotspot.

And overall, the Antarctic is COOLING.

  6. cdqgfj says:

Zwally did not correct GRACE but he perhaps overcorrected his own altimeter-dataset.

We KNOW that the Amundsen sea sector is losing a lot of mass since we see it with GRACE and see the resulting surface lowering with all kinds of altimeters. And SAR shows how the marge ice-streams in the sector have been speeding up:

  7. Andy DC says:

One way or another, we are all going to die!

  8. cdqgfj says:

Why did you post unrelated links to geothermal heating of glaciers from below, which happens everywhere? Any evidence at all for the claim that volcanoes have been heating up the currents circulating Antarctica?

  9. cdqgfj says:

Yes, WAIS is vulnerable locally and once the grounding line retreats enough in the not-too-distant future it will lead to a partial collapse of the whole sector.

    • gator69 says:

Why are you so worried about alarmist model projections? And why do you not care about the seven million who die every year, because we spend their lifesaving money on alarmist models and their alarmist projections?

You care more for ice age ice, than the millions of contemporary human lives needlessly lost every year, and that is pathetic at best.

      • cdqgfj says:

I’m not saying I’m “worried”, just pointing out that goth Greenland and WAIS have started losing mass pretty recently, which of course increases sea levels.. WAIS has a tipping point built into it so at some point the retreat can become irreversible.

        • gator69 says:

No, you are pointing at alarmist models, which have a zero track record of being right.

Your failure to acknowledge the 21,000 innocent humans that will needlessly die today speaks volumes.

        • AndyG55 says:

“which of course increases sea levels.. ”

Sea levels have been rising steadily, with NO ACCELERATION since we have modern tide gauges. There is no indication of any increase in the rate of ice melt.

    • AndyG55 says:

Yes, I have been telling you that its LOCAL. Thanks for finally agreeing.

  10. cdqgfj says:

Greenland and WAIS mass-loss is not a “model” but an observable fact. Of course it’s not possible to predict exactly what ocean currents do decades into the future so the situation may change. WAIS having a tipping-point due to glacier-bed geometry is also a measurable fact, not a “model”.

    • gator69 says:

Greenland and WAIS mass-loss is not a “model” but an observable fact.

The Sun rising is an observable fact, and perfectly natural. Your alarmist projections are all based upon modles, and not reality.

Now killer, what about the 21,000 people who will needlessly die today, because you and your alarmist buddies insist on spending trillions on a Chicken Little fantasy.

    • Gonzo says:

GRACE is an outlier as pointed out by Zwally et al. The error bars are enormous. They have documented calibration issues. Notice NASA allowed Zwally to publish in both a journal and on their website (with a disclaimer). He’s the resident ice expert they couldn’t deny him yet you do. Also Frezzoti et al showed an increase in mass from listen up ACTUAL direct measurements of coring on the ice sheet. So we have a very accurate altimetry study and direct measurement study that both show increasing mass.

  11. cdqgfj says:

    21000 what?

  12. cdqgfj says:

Which 21000 humans are you talking about?

  15. omanuel says:

False pride & blind ignorance of information recorded in rest masses of 3,000 types of atoms that comprise all matter, the source of energy that sustains every atom, life and planet – the PULSAR-centered star Copernicus found at the gravitational center of the solar system in 1543

is the common trait in politicians, popes and pseudo-scientists united behind the CLIMATE HUSTLE:

  16. cdqgfj says:

The loss happen outside the “volcanic area” both on Greenland and Antarctica. Don’t you guys notice how specious your arguments are? Are you one of those people who think evolution is not an observed fact??

    • Gonzo says:

Greenland had over 200gt of ice mass balance after last melt season and this season they are running well above the mean. Try this thought experiment. If you add more snow/mass do you get more ice discharge from the glaciers? Think about it

  17. cdqgfj says:

Ocean is warm outside the “volcanic area” triggering ice stream acceleration.
