“It has nothing to do with climate”

The cornerstone of climate alarmism strategy is making people believe that their carbon sins will lead to a great flood. A giant flood caused by man’s sin is an easy concept to push, because most people were raised with it.

The basis of the modern flood theory is that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) will somehow “collapse” and that it is due to man-made global warming.

Scientists Are Watching in Horror as Ice Collapses

The theory of collapse of the WAIS has been around for a long time, and scientists have also known for a long time that “it has nothing to do with climate.

Scientists also know that the “collapse” of the WAIS has been occurring for centuries, long before the automobile was invented.

There is little basis for the WAIS collapse theory, and no basis for blaming it on humans. It has nothing to do with climate.

It is difficult for climate alarmists to convince people that they are going to burn up, when they aren’t hot. But the biblical flood story is an easier scam to push, because it is based on a sudden event sometime in the future. People who are mentally unstable (i.e. progressives) latch on to these ideas easily.

You are right. Today, I regret to report that:

    1. The paper submitted to Nature on “Solar energy” on 15 March 2016 . . .

was with-drawn by someone else, and

    2. The London GeoEthics Conference that Swedish Professor Nils-Axel Mörner planned in September 2016 appears to be, at least temporarily, disrupted or on hold:

Powerful forces are still in control of public-reality.

  2. DBM says:

All they have to do is throw in “its for the children” and the libs suck it up as the truth. Funny thing is the libs who want us to think of the children are also the people pushing abortion of the children.

    • gator69 says:

They are also starving seven million people to death every year.

Imagine if we put all the resources wasted on the Climate Change Industry into curing diseases and feeding people who struggle to survive day to day right now.

About 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every four seconds, as you can see on this display. Sadly, it is children who die most often.

Yet there is plenty of food in the world for everyone. The problem is that hungry people are trapped in severe poverty. They lack the money to buy enough food to nourish themselves. Being constantly malnourished, they become weaker and often sick. This makes them increasingly less able to work, which then makes them even poorer and hungrier. This downward spiral often continues until death for them and their families.

      http://www.poverty.com/

That works out to 7,665,000 every year.

        Hey Gator,

Thanks for that! Good to hear a rational assessment of problems. Climate change dead last as it is a problem that exists solely in the minds of wealthy western minds. Too bad we are subject to silly, decadent, fantasies foisted on us by our weak-minded and degenerate fellow citizens.

        • Random Schmoe says:

What’s so “silly” or “decadent” about wanting to fill up Sarah Palin’s hoo-ha with love goo? My dollar to your donut says you want to do the same exact thing. In fact, it says you’d be lying if you said otherwise.

        • Why is this degenerate, Random Schmoe, being tolerated here?

As you frequently remind Omanuel … That has nothing to do with this post.

        • Ideas?

Infantile fantasies based on abject fear and hatred of capable, successful women are not ‘ideas.’ You appear to lack the mental understanding or awareness to form original ‘ideas.’

        • Is that what you tell yourself? That you are merely ‘standing up to the man’ by being ‘politically incorrect?’ I don’t, for a moment, believe that … and neither do you. So you are not only rude, ill-mannered, and obscene … you are also a fraud.

  3. Steve Case says:

James Hansen said in his 1988 Congressional testimony:

The rise in global temperature is predicted to cause a thermal expansion of the oceans and to melt glaciers and polar ice, thus causing sea levels to rise by one to four feet by the middle of the next century. Scientists have already detected a slight rise in sea levels. At the same time, heat would cause inland waters to evaporate more rapidly, thus lowering the level of bodies of water such as the Great Lakes.

Well the average of that comes to over 12 mm/yr. Was he correct? Did sea levels go up a foot since 1988. My arithmetic says about three inches so far.

And how about the Great Lakes:

Lake Michigan water levels rising at near record rate

  4. Tom Robbins says:

I am completely with you as this is a cult, complete with a repent, give money, or you will perish, but this is the second time you have broadly associated the Jewish/Christian faith with this nonsense – is it true that MAN has used/and some still use scriptures to control people? YES. But is that the true purpose and meaning of the traditions and the faith – not at all. I love what you are doing, but I sure would like it if you would at least put a disclaimer, that most “believers” like myself, are not part of one of the cults that are use it to control man (in fact my personal beliefs set me free of mans idiotic paths, AND my faith prevents and does not condone the warmists “ends justify the means” thinking. Every good thing gets twisted and abused by man, that is true. But to imply this is the purpose of religion or the history and teaching in the bible is responsible is silly – most warmist are typical angry Atheists. BUT – I love your work. Keep it up..

    • RAH says:

      Tim

Steve is just making the point that this whole thing is more like a religion than science. It is the Godless religion of the secular greens. They have no faith in anything but man and government. Their “morals” are all handed to them from their own almighty movement. They worship government and their politicians and take their guidance as to what is wrong and right from them. Thus their “moral” compass is ever changing and the way it points is ever transient in nature with the only constants being that any real religion, and especially Christianity, is bad and misguided and that the dictates of their own scripture should only applied to others and never themselves. Come to think about it they are like radical Islamists light.

  5. cdqgfj says:

Warmer temperatures caused sea level rise during the previous interglacial so obviously the same is going to happen during this interglacial as well if temperatures keep going up. Collapse of WAIS has happened before, so nothing new under the Sun.

    • gator69 says:

Exactly. Nothing new under the Sun, this warming appears perfectly natural. So why do you choose to champion CAGW instead of the seven million the UN has decided to let die this year?

      • cdqgfj says:

I thought the policies of the Kock-borthers were to blame for those deaths???

        • gator69 says:

That just goes to show how stupid you are.

My post above details how the UN, alarmists, and agenda driven zealots deny the money that would save millions every year.

          Proud of yourself killer?

  6. cdqgfj says:

Denying evolution is what religious cultists do – very common in the less educated parts of the US.

    • gator69 says:

Denying natural variability is what alarmists, doomers, and grantologists do.

      • cdqgfj says:

Do you have a problem with evolutionary theory or the age of the Earth?

        • gator69 says:

As someone who spent six years as a geology student, I have no issue with a 4.5 billion year old Earth, or the theory of evolution.

What I do have a problem with is those who choose to be an accomplice to murder.

        • RAH says:

The only problem I have is that scientists make claims to have certain knowledge about some things in evolution for which they have no facts as evidence if one checks their claims out. That is not to say that I don’t believe in evolution. Just that in some cases they overblow their claims about what they “know”. 50 years ago everybody knew that dinosaurs were all cold blooded and grey colored and all species laid eggs. Now we know they were in fact colorful with some species having feather like plumage, some species were warm blooded, and some gave live birth. Such guesses should never be presented as fact and that kind of stuff seeps over into the common media nearly daily. A great example of that was in the program ‘Walking with dinosaurs’ where they made claims of behavior for some of the beasts for which they have little or no evidence. But people uncritically lap it up just as today the same kind of people lap up the endless pile of dung about human caused climate change.

        • gator69 says:

I am a documentary junkie, mostly those that deal with history and science. It never ceases to amaze and disgust me how many of these presentations make absolute claims that are unsupportable by evidence, but that is the Barnum & Bailey world in which we now live. And suckers like cfool lap it up, not knowing any better.

    • Andy DC says:

There are for more serious and imminent threats than the collapse of the Antarctic ice sheet, especially with no sign of warming there. Like nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists or an economic collapse worse than the Great Depression, when the mounting debt bubble finally bursts.

      • DBM says:

Andy, Your listed more serious and immanent threats are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg of things that need to be dealt with instead of the fake Global warming threat.

  7. Climatism says:

Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
“It is difficult for climate alarmists to convince people that they are going to burn up, when they aren’t hot. But the biblical flood story is an easier scam to push, because it is based on a sudden event sometime in the future. NASA’s Antarctic ice study, released October 2015, confirms how mentally unstable progressives’ interpretation and manipulation of climate science has become in order to suit their political agenda…

“A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.”
