Washington Post Thinks California Is West Of Japan

Yesterday was the first they had heard about NASA and global warming.

HIROSHIMA -A massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake and a powerful tsunami devastated the northeast coast of Japan on Friday afternoon, leaving hundreds dead and triggering waves that threatened coastlines as far west as California.

  1. Scott says:

Well, by longitude, California is west of Japan, just like Alaska is west of Russia. 🙂

But if that’s their criteria, shouldn’t they have said as far west as Hawaii (or another island even closer to the international dateline)?

    • The tsunami will cross Asia Europe and North America to get to California. Just like in 2012

      • Scott says:

        Dang, that’s scary.

The Arctic used to be a refuge because it would freeze the tsunamis, but clearly it won’t now!

Actually, I wonder if the tsunami would affect the ice much…I know that tsunamis are very, very small in the open ocean, but that might be enough to affect the ice…hmm.

Oh, and even more OT, have you been watching the UAH Ch5 on the discover website? We’ve been below 2008 the entire month, actually below every other year that has daily values all month except for March 1, where we were higher than 2009. Oh, and we may be looking at record low territory soon…depends on if the current trend can hold.

We have all made stupid typos. God knows I have. We should forgive the ones made by others.

  3. PhilJourdan says:

Idiots. As far as mistakes, what the hell are the editors doing other than making sure they blame it on global warming? REAL media has copy writers and copy proofers! And fact checkers.

  4. HopeyChangey says:

They were probably confused due to Kalifornia joining the Russian Federation.

Shall we draw lots to see what media outlet will come up with the first link of the Tsunami to CAGW? Dibs on The Guardian!

  5. Mike Davis says:

I think Huff-N- Puff made a reference to AGW and increased Tsunami activity last year!
