Pummeled by ghastly economic news, President Obama called Monday for more spending and extended tax cuts that he said would help stimulate the economy — but these also could deepen the deficit problems that helped the federal government earn its first-ever debt downgrade last week.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

This guy just doesn’t know when to stop digging….
That is about it!
I was not able to get out of debt until I reduced my spending. I suspect the government will need to do the same. Something called a balanced budget! I know it is a strange concept but it really works!
He has not reached China yet.
I don’t know. Printing more dollars buys you more Chinese goodies; and the Chinese government is forced by its own 5 year plan to accept them; they’ll print an according number of Yuan and exchange the incoming Dollars for Yuan. Afterwards, they’re forced to buy more US treasuries…
Maybe you can make the Dollar lose value as fast as it piles up in China so you’ll have all the imports for free. (Maybe that’s already the case).
…I can’t help but remembering this same guy campaigning
and telling us it was our fault and how irresponsible we had been with our borrowing and credit
He’s trying to fatten up as many of his buddies as possible before he gets kicked to the curb. He couldn’t care less about debt, credit ratings, etc. Did you hear his weird comments regarding the Seals deaths? For some strange reason, he felt the need to throw in a comment about “diversity”. Nobody seems to know what he meant. Bizarre.
Anybody who refers to those who think we need to stop spending and reduce our debt as “economic terrorists” is wacked out of their head. According to Rasmussen, 22% feel that way, including 52% of Democrats. I really didn’t want to believe they had a mental problem.
Having been a vendor to the Federal and State and Local govts, I can tell you they couldn’t care less what something cost. The only thing they care about is having plenty of money to get whatever they want and they make sure they spend ALL of it, even if they have to buy something they don’t need…..just get RID of the money or next years budget will be cut. That’ the mentality. No wonder we are screwed. Many don’t want to do business with them because they pay so slow and the bidding process is gruesome AND rigged most of the time.
