    Er, yes? It’s very common for the summits of the Cairngorms to stay snow-covered year-round.

    The Cairngorms are only 4,000 ft., not exactly Mt. Everest. It would be surprising if they were snow covered the year round. Maybe a freak summer snow once in a great while, but I doubt if it is “very common”.
