  1. Anything is possible says:

So, as the world cools we should expect a lot more storms but less powerful storms.

    Any recent evidence of this?

  2. Mike Davis says:

Models only show what they are programmed to show and all the undesirable out puts are discarded.
In a TRUE global warming scenario due to GHGs overall weather events would be milder as the difference in temperatures would be reduced. That would mean less frequent and less severe Hurricanes and storms of all types. The temperature difference is the energy that drives the storm.
Global warming would be warmer minimums as there is only so much energy entering the system and the system can not generate energy only use the available energy it receives or lose it to space.
It is a travesty that climatologists do not understand weather!

Listen, models suggest…. and by golly, when models suggest you better take notice! I mean it!

  4. PJB says:

And, for a change, we have readily available, up-to-date, real world data to compare these anthropogenic-addled algorithms to actual storms.
Irrespective of any methodology changes that might have occurred over the years (all of which are clearly documented) it is certainly valuable and worthwhile to have an accurate and exact measure to compare all of the calamitous claims with.

  5. I had this discussion with someone on ace.mu.nu more than a year ago: hurricanes (and other such storms) are very large heat engines. If you increase the temperature of the cold side by 6°K and the hot side by 2°K you get a weaker engine.

No wonder they call it the “Rough Guide To Climate Change”

  7. Ralph says:

Being a long time resident of Florida I worry every day about those stealth hurricanes that can sneak in without being detected!!!

Okay, now that’s funny right there!

    Jeff Masters hardest hit….

    LMAO

    • Latitude says:

      LOL you know….
the funniest thing Masters does is the TS “slamming” or “crashing” into something

      • PearlandAggie says:

I used to be a frequent reader of his blog, but I couldn’t stand the incessant drivel over CAGW when the tropical season was slow. Couple that with a sycophantic readership and his ignorance/misinformation regarding the HUGE uncertainties surrounding the CAGW hypothese and I just couldn’t take it any longer.

  10. Kaboom says:

Model trains suggest that real train engines are made from die-cast aluminum and plastics.

Is journalism getting worse because of global warming?
Observations suggest that there may be more, and less credible, journalists as the world warms.
