And now Obama wants another stimulus plan with no means to pay for it. Either debt doesn’t matter or that philosophy is treasonous.
Andy, what’s that expression about repeating the same behavior…..
If they bust the country they plan on being the ones to pick up the pieces. For then it’s a win/win.
This was tried way back in the 1930’s in Austria-
“Austria was successful in pushing through policies that are popular all over the world. Austria has the most impressive records in five lines:
1. she increased public expenditures,
2. she increased wages,
3. she increased social benefits,
4. she increased bank credits [monetary expansion],
5. she increased consumption.
After all these achievements she was on the verge of ruin.”
– Fritz Machlup, “The Consumption of Capital in Austria,” Review of Economic Statistics (January 15, 1935), pp. 13-19.
By the way, I was wondering if anyone has a link to the Dear Leader Obama’s peer-reviewed scholarly papers that he wrote, particularly on Constitutional law (apparently what he taught) while he was a ‘professor’ at U. of Chicago. Or perhaps the transcripts from his ten most compelling court case wins. Or perhaps a link to the articles he wrote and published while at Haavaad Law.
Thanks in advance. 🙂

Sure he can pay for it. He’s got printng presses:

Funny isn’t it if as USSR All-encompassing Communism collapsed as there wasn’t any money left, Big-Government Capitalism follows the same course for the same reason
They are now running the papers.
The biggest misconception is liberals think it’s a mandate…..
..the democrat party knows it’s not
50% of the registered voters in this country did not vote….conservatives just couldn’t stomach either one
McCain got ~50% and so did Obama ~50%…..
That means 75% of the registered voters in this country…..did not vote for Obama
and conservatives do not poll……they hang up
Trashing Perry for changing parties is lame, and just draws attention to the fact that the entire democrat party…..changed parties….that’s a huge mistake the democrats are making
Obama is attempting to create approx. 7 million votes for himself by giving amnesty to illegal immigrants. He wants to act unilaterally and just sign a paper that will make 20 million illegal citizens into legal citizens, approx 7 million of which are of voting age. Of course Constitutionally it takes Congress acting first to do it and then it goes to the Presidents desk to be signed. But he wants to bypass the Constitution, like he is doing through regulations at the EPA, and also in the war in Libya, and just write his name on a paper that says they are all legals citizens.
So he wants to act to make himself President again—something the Founding Fathers would have laughed at. But we don’t have the Founding Fathers in charge now.
Recently i asked myself, what exactly was the New Deal so i searched around a little bit. (Goebbels was applauding the American government for their attempt at a centrally-planned economy. No, really.) Now, purportedly it was a set of measures to combat the depression but i found this quote.
“Under Wright’s interpretation, the Great Depression merely catapulted the Democrats to power and allowed them to enact the policies they wanted anyway.”
“”All those things did was transfer funds from one group of decision makers—consumers—to
another—federal officials,” Powell argues.”

I am struck by how many times I was told at school growing up how great a President FDR was. His name made teachers change their voice into a tone of respect. I realize now that I was propagandized with FDR just like kids are now propagandized with Al Gore and global warming. I don’t see one bit of a difference. Same left wing political crap, different year.
Great cartoon – and I can’t help saying it “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”
Yes, awesome cartoon!
We had this same exact one in a few threads over at FreeRepublic years ago and I totally forgot about it until now.
How about the racist Republicans like Rush Limbaugh?
http://news.yahoo.com/rush-limbaugh-goes-full-tilt-racial-slur-bam-230200099.html
Pathetic ad hom
Yeah, that was a pretty sorry piece of liberal boilerplate, wasn’t it?
#1 – what has that got to do with the Climate scare
#2 – Why are you a racist? What limbaugh said was sarcasm, and in no way racist. Are you denying that Obama is of mixed races? When did you become such a hateful racist? The truth is not racism, but denying it is.
WOW. Talking about Spinning! We can’t forget the Donavan McNabb thing in 2003… And other situations where he has spewed his racist views. It’s in that article in fact.
Sarcasm my A___
what a cheap liar you are Brian.
I’ll see your Rush Limbaugh….
…and raise you a Rev. Jeremiah Wright
call
I’ll give you most of the republicans in the red states.
it’s all or nothing………………
Rev. Jeremiah Wright—“the USKKKA”. That Rev Wright? What a small, intolerant, racist he is!! And he gets away with it because he’s in a pulpit—supposedly a Christian pulpit. But Jesus didn’t talk like that. Wright is just preaching in line with American Muslim hate preaching.
Maher: Racists are more likely to be Republicans
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/david/maher-racists-are-more-likely-be-republicans
FYI, everybody is a racist, it’s human nature.
That’s why we are always at war.
Bill Maher, a man that makes a living exclusively from stirring people up, truth meaning NOTHING to him. Great guy to use as a source. Brilliant you are.
Maher is a twit, do you know history at all? MLK Jr was a republican and it was democrats that beat blacks attempting to vote, it was democrats that blocked the 1960’s civil rights acts, it was democrats sporting white robes and lynching blacks, it was democrats supporting Jim Crow… I could go on about Selma, and so on, but you need to check the R and D next to historical racial villans… the R’s are next to Lincoln, and King… the D’s are next to hood wearing murders and thugs.
Side note, Rush was right about McNabb, he got attention and praise because he was a black quarterback and not because he was a great player, he was average at best in the QB field. That isn’t racist, it’s the truth.
And how about the late Democrat Senator Robert Byrd—before becoming involved in politics he was a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan. He held the titles “Kleagle” (recruiter) and “Exalted Cyclops”. When his KKK brethren held the vote for him to become “Exalted Cyclops” it was a unanimous vote.
Quote from Robert Byrd:
“I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side … Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”
In a letter to the Grand Wizard of the KKK Robert Byrd said this:
“The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation.”
This man was a Democrat.
Things aren’t as they were in 1960 and you know it.
Here are some lovely Limbaugh quotes.
http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/
I’ve lived in the south all my life and all the racists I know flock to the republican party. Who do you think those people over at stormfront vote for?
Career:
230 TD’s 115 INT’s and a career passer rating of over 85. That’s what you call average at best? Funny stuff.
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_td_career.htm
23rd all time on the TD list Wayne. If he’s so average, how come only 22 guys have thrown 22 more TD’s in NFL history?
Brian, that’s an idiotic thing to repeat especially seeing that you’re repeating a moron. You should also vet what their quoting Rush about.
Here’s one of the quotes…….. “I know the real reason that Teddy Kennedy was mad and offended when Bill Clinton said ‘Hey, come on man, this guy woulda been fetching us coffee a few years ago.’ what made Teddy Kennedy mad was it’s women get him coffee. It was Negroes that brought Ted Kennedy his booze. And that’s why he was all offended… We deal in the truth here…”
Now, I’ll ask you, what’s more racist? What the Democrat Clinton said, or what Rush said about it? Really? It is racist to point out that Kennedy has people of color bring him booze?
Also, the page you reference obviously doesn’t understand what Rush is stating in over half their quotes. Many of the quotes are simply running commentary of the current events of the day. You do realize too, that Rush is being provocative when he makes these statements, right? You ever listen to Imus? In talk radio, this is quite normal.
Now, I’m not saying Rush is or isn’t anything……. I’m saying those quotes are idiotic, out of context, and stretched beyond imagination. Another example of the page your referenced, “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.” ——- If you click on the source link, its just another page that said Rush said that. No source, no context….nada….
But, Brian, we’re always going to have racists…. of all sorts. I would posit that the height of racism is to point at a particular group of people and state they have special needs solely on the basis of the color of their skin. That somehow they just aren’t capable enough to get by without special help. It perpetuates racism and isn’t helpful to anyone. Here, http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/hannity/2011/08/19/has-obama-abandoned-african-american-community
Hannity had a couple of interesting guests on. Its a quick read. Do yourself a favor and don’t participate in bigotry when trying to point out another form of bigotry.

a career passer rating of over 85.
That means he’s anything other than average? Thanks Einstein.
Brian – Maher is a misogynist! And a racist! That is like asking a Grand Kleagle who is racist! Guess who the only grand kleagle to serve in the senate was? A Democrat!
“Not all Republicans are racists but racists are more than likely to be Republicans, according to comedian Bill Maher.”
More peer reviewed science !
{And FU Bri }
Speaking of Donvan McNabb, he came to the Redskins and could not hit the broad side of a barn. After they were out of the playoffs, they decided to bench McNabb and he went into a pout, as if the white slave master had “dissed” him and taken away his manhood. Like he was the first quarterback in history to be benched after he stunk up the joint?
The “MVP Doug Williams wins Superbowl 22” Redskins?
I thought he was an Eagle.
lol, yeh something about how they should have consulted him first…….amazing egos we create.
Amino Acids in Meteorites there is no Jesus.
Brian,
So you couldn’t look in any history book and find a Jesus Christ? Ok. So now I get a better idea of who you are. How old are you?
There is no Jesus or God Amino. He’s made up just like Santa Claus.
So there is no Jesus anywhere in the history books? He’s a made up character just like Santa.
I can’t believe how foolish you are.
My guess is that Rush Limbaugh’s right hand man, James Golden, would love to teach this sock puppet phony ‘Brian’ some manners if he had the chance.
You see, since James is both a firebreathing ‘right winger’ (perhaps moreso than Rush), and is black (not halfrican like Ubama) so he knows something about race. Similarly many of Rush’s sports buds are also black. Note for the record that the first person here who brought up race was none other than the racist ‘Brian’ himself.
Little twerps like ‘Brian’, guilt ridden white liberals, must preach their stupidity 24/7 in an active penance to their cognitive dissonance for joining the (D) Democratic Socialist Slavery Segregation Plantation party. The party of lynchings, Jim Crow, segregated water fountains, lunch counters, back of the bus and the Ku Klux Klan.
Brian (D) should be very worried that black folk are getting tired of his phony pandering and condescension …

The old “He has black friends: gag.
Many racist people have black friends that don’t know what are said behind their back. My brother in law is as racist as they come almost, and yet, he has black friends. Having some black friends doesn’t mean anything.
You can rehash over the 60’s all you want, but it doesn’t mean much of anything now.
And if republicans want to talk about phonies… How about your good ole phony cowboy President Bush. You know… The guy that couldn’t even say nuclear properly. Not that I’m the best speller or anything, but The President should be able to talk and communicate in a decent manner.
But really… Humans have basically ran their course and are basically past the days of being useful to the planet.
Do you have black friend brian? Everyone knows where Limbaugh stands. He is on the radio 15 hours a week. But no one knows how you are. So how many black friends do you have Brian?
You have issues Brian.
Brian:
Do your part and be a leader for other believers. Trust me they will follow a true leader that takes action rather than just spouting words like you are doing!

Says the one that believe that clown is in the sky watching everything you do. Praise Jesus! Right on.
Thank God for Allen West!!!
I said ‘right hand man‘ and ‘buds‘, not friends (acquaintances). There is a big difference. You see, buddies or mates are lifelong friends you trust, with your life and property and whatever. Liberal racists like you don’t have many friends, if any. You can’t because once people get to know you they do not trust you. And with good reason, you hate yourself and you hate your country. I would never trust you with my house or car or guns or daughter or anything. You are a malcontent.
Which 60’s are you talking about? 1860’s or 1960’s? Or is it 1860’s up to the 1960’s? Nice try at diminishing the long history of the (D) Democratic Socialist Slavery Segregation Plantation party (the party of lynchings, Jim Crow, segregated water fountains, lunch counters, back of the bus and the Ku Klux Klan). Pretty cavalier of you to say “it doesn’t mean much of anything now.“. Dismissing over a hundred years of history in a sentence! You are not speaking for me or about 10% of voting blacks, a number which will finally begin to rise as Socialism starts to collapse worldwide.
How ironic that you make fun of a primarily southern colloquialism! And after you state that you are down South. I mean everybody knows that Jimmy Carter used it, but did you know that wikipedia has something about it …
Oops again troll boy! Back to your cave now.

Just because you allow some black people around you that doesn’t mean that you’re not a racist. I’ve seen the gig plenty of times. You don’t know what or who I hate Ward Cleaver.

We shouldn’t go back too far in history. It isn’t all that pretty for the white race. Obviously what I mean is that it’s not important in the context that what happened then can’t be changed now. But what do we see now? We see many of the republican followers who are racist, and one of the people running for the republican party actually believes she can “cure” gays through prayer. lol Give me a break. It’s a party of creationist and dull old out of date traditionalist. That’s what the republican party is.
As far as being proud of my country:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MktlfjFb3j0
And once again… There is no hope for humanity. The US will never climb out of this debt, women are as materialistic as they can be, everybody is about money. That includes the democrats and your right wing buddies.
Now I know you are a racist and a fool. Do you even know what he said about McNabb? He implied the media was racist! He never said anything bad about McNabb, other than he was not a great QB, but the media wanted a “great black QB”, so they built him up! What a fool you are!
And this proves I’m racist… how? It appears that if I bring up race, I’m a racist because of it… But hey, you have tubby Rush bringing up race. Shouldn’t that make him racist for bringing it up? After all, as someone above put it… If you bring up race, you most in fact be a racist yourself. Yes… According to Blade you must be racist if you bring up race in a discussion. Well then… Mr. Limbaugh brought up race in his 2003 comments so that’s enough to prove him racist according to Blade’s standards.
The media builds up a lot of guys. So what? They still build up Brett Farve even when he isn’t playing anymore. They build up Tiger Woods. Tim Tebow…. They build him up and he hasn’t done jack squat.
No, you are a racist because you are trying to deflect attention from your racism. You think that any criticism of the president is racist. That is racist not the criticism. You have hidden your racism behind a benevolent father routine, just as most other democrats have. But democrats are the party of racist. it is not open for debate as history is replete with examples. You can change, but you are too stuck on stupid to see your avenue out.
Your wrong Phil… I’ve called Obama out in another thread. I even posted a video linking him as a Cult of Personality. That doesn’t mean that I’m not suspicions of the intentions of some of the things being said. The good news for Republicans is that now, are the failure of George Bush they have someone else to pin everything on. Now they can forget that they voted in a fake cowboy who couldn’t even pronounce nuclear correctly.
*After* excuse me.
You are again wrong Brian – the only blamecasting going on is Obama to Bush. Bush was no saint or savior, but he is not responsible for all the ills of this economy. Even Obama admitted 3 years ago that this was his and he has failed. I care not about bringing Bush into a blamecasting game as he is long gone, and the only purpose he serves is for losers to look for excuses.

SHOULDN’T HAVE WENT TO IRAQ. Shouldn’t have went there. He just had to carry on with what daddy started. The troops have been over there for 10 damn years. 10 YEARS.

Like Lincoln? No, the only racist left are democrats. The party that tried to block civil rights. The party that segregated the Federal Government. The party of the KKK. You are such an ignorant fool. Try staying on topic and keep your racist bigotted opinions and lies to yourself.
Phil… Go to stormfront.org and ask them if they vote for democrats.
Why? We know they do. Nazis were socialists, just like Obama.
Phil…You really think those people over there vote Democrat? LMAO.
I can admit that Rush Limbaugh link I posted above is fairly shady on closer review. But if you really think racists are voting mostly democrat I can atleast say that you’re giving me some good laughs.
I do not think Brian – I know. Byrd was a democrat. Al Gore (sr.) was a democrat. Democrats are the party of the KKK. Do you think Cindy Sheehan is a republican? Yet the Aryan Nation supported her. I deal with facts, not talking points and lies.
So you take statements made out of context and call the man a racist because you are a racist? Yes, those quotes are accurate. He was often quoting democrats! And he is making fun of them. Got your PC police are ridiculous! Try taking your racism into harlem. They will string you up before you can get 10 feet. They do not want patronizing racists there. I am from the south as well, and yes there is racism. The racism of byrd, kennedy, and even Farakhan. But there is racism in the north as well. You grew up racist and never changed. but like the good plantation masters of the democrats, you have learned how to accuse others of your sins, and couch your own racism in an evil form of paternalism where instead of saying they are inferior, you just say they need “extra help”.
And calling Obama a colonial dictator? here’s a clue for you. HE IS! See his latest dictate that flouts the rule of law? You are a sad pathetic racist bigot, whose only defense is to try to find others to blame your sins on.
Yea, and the other 10 guys on his team just stood around and watched him do it – get back to us when his rating is over 100. 85 is average.
If you want to see an overrated QB… Look at Big Ben. Talk about a defense carrying a team. Or Brett Farve since like 2001.
The list of QB’s that have a career passer rating of 100 is extremely small.
Ben Roethlisberger and Brett Favre are overrated? So guys that win Super Bowls, or hold almost every QB record in football history, are overrated. And a guy that threw up in the huddle during the Super Bowl because he couldn’t handle the pressure is underrated. Got ya there Bri.
Brian, you should quit now while you’re ahead—or before you look even more stupid.
If any team was ever carried by defense to get to a Super Bowl it was the Philadelphia
Eagles when McNabb was QB. They had one of the most fun defenses to watch that year.
The only reason New England was able to beat that defense is because THEY CHEATED. Also, McNabb, the QB you think is so great, threw 3 interceptions.
So tell us one more time how great McNabb is.
If he was so great Philadelphia would have never let him go—especially to a division rival! And is he was so great Mike Shanahan would have never pulled him from a game and put in Rex Grossman—Rex Grossman of all people!!
Quit now while you are ahead Brian.
You must be here posting comments as a joke. You can’t be serious.
-Big Ben has thrown 3 more TD’s than INT’s in his post season career.
If he is so great, why did he play so bad against The Jets and some mediocre against Green Bay in the Super Bowl?
How about we check out his numbers against Seattle in the Super Bowl?
9-21
123 yards
42.9% passes completed
22.6 passer rating
His SB games hasn’t been all that great.
I noted that Brett has been overrated the last several years. Remember the game in which he threw 5 picks against SF? Or the game where he gave a playoff game away against Seattle? Or his choke job against The Saints?
Of course this is all off topic, but this topic will be 10 pages down before long anyway with the high number of articles that is posted here.
Brett has had one playoff failure after another since 2001
Brain, you do realize the opponents in the Super Bowl are usually fairly good teams, too? But, what AAM states is true. To be considered to be among the greatest, many deem winning the big one is a must. There are very few exceptions, and even the exceptions only last for a generation. For example, when Fran Tarkington retired, he was considered to be among the greatest QBs, but as time passed and his records fell, no one even mentions him any longer. Dan Marino (who I believe was the best pure passer in the game, ever) will be regarded just like Tarkington. Conversely, we can see this is why Romo doesn’t get talked about when discussing the very good QBs of today. His stats are very good. His post-season wins……not so much. Considering McNabbs numbers and his lack of a ring, in 4-5 yrs, he won’t even be mentioned in conversations about who was and wasn’t great.
All that stated, Bill James had an excellent thought as how to properly consider professional athletes. Many attributes related to distribution among the population may be considered in classic bell curve. Professional athletes fall within the extreme right of the curve. Their talents, skills, and physical attributes are superior to the average person. So, when someone says McNabb was average….. well, he may have been average……. for the group of people that fall within such a narrow point in population distribution. Its like saying a member of Mensa is of average intellect for members of Mensa.
Maybe Brian is just trying to be contrarian. Either that of the elevator isn’t going to the top.
Since 2001 Favre taking two teams that had no business being considered for the Super Bowl to the brink of being in the Super Bowl is considered failure. Nice one Bri.
I can see you really know what you’re talking about. Like I said, quit while you’re ahead.

The old “He has black friends: gag……..
===================================================
No, you twit, there was actual content I thought you may have benefited to read. But, this is a great example of errant assumptions employed by liberals.
It’s the same old stuff.
Your not going to convince me that Republicans are these do-gooers that you have created in your mind. I’m not democrat, but I’m tired of Republican’s dull ass traditions. I’ve done told you before that I’m a Democrat, but Republicans do the same deal of putting their party on a pedestal.
And if you want to know the truth, the people are tired of BOTH parties. But going on believing that everyone is just mad at Democrats right now. You can believe that, but you’ll be wrong.
Brian, lol, I don’t think you understand the position many here take. I don’t think there’s one of us here that thinks the republican party is righteous. Yes, the people are tired of both parties, and rightly so. Neither is run by convictions, just tired rhetoric. They don’t really debate ideas. They engage in gamesmanship more than anything else. I view the republican party as the lessor of two evils. Some of the people here, that took exception to your sweeping statements aren’t even republicans. You can classify them as one, but, Ron Paul is classified as one too, and he’s a libertarian.
I’m curious as to what you think are “dull ass ideas”. The thought that you can’t spend your way out of debt or the thought that you can’t tax yourself to prosperity? And while the republican party doesn’t always practice that thought, they at least pay homage to that wisdom. Another idea that republicans pay homage to, but don’t always practice, is that in a nation, formed by the ideas of personal liberty, a limited government is the only way forward to prosperity and freedom. In other words, we have the wrong charter to pursue all encompassing federalism. It is ruinous to this nation.
Brian, you seem like a sharp guy, current on the events of today. Put away your flame thrower and discuss, learn and teach. Or, continue to troll, but, it’ll leave you fairly empty, and benefits none.
James
That’s fair enough James.
I admit, the fact that I’ve been surrounded by racist republican types most of my life has clouded my opinion. Like I said before, I’m not big on abortion or I’m not anti guns and I agree with live in a world that is to PC for it’s own good.
I mean, we already covered this ground pretty much. So I’ll just say Fair enough.
*Do-Gooders*
Brain, you do realize the opponents in the Super Bowl are usually fairly good teams, too? But, what AAM states is true. Considering McNabbs numbers and his lack of a ring, in 4-5 yrs, he won’t even be mentioned in conversations about who was and wasn’t great.”
I never said that McNabb was great… For 7-9 years he was a really good GB. A Super Bowl appearance, division titles, 230 passing TD’s… We can’t forget that he had that game where he threw 4 TD’s on a broken foot. Average QB at best? An average QB is someone like Chris Chandler or Jake Delhomme.. Trent Dilfer. Brad Johnson. Those are average QB’s. Even even some of those guys have some good accomplishments. But I think the guy gets an unfair shake by everyone other than the media. The guy has took too many criticisms for “not being black enough” to being overrated.
I would put McNabb with some guys like Steve McNair, Jeff Garcia, Rich Gannon, Drew Bledsoe and guys like that. Guys who were really good.
Maybe, of course, its an entirely subjective conversation, even with hard numbers. The argument can be made that Garcia should have gotten some of those numbers, but you’re right, Many would categorize him in that group. I always felt he was overrated and that many “average” players would have put up similar numbers considering some of the talent he had around him. But, he had the two attributes I consider essential for QBs for most of his playing days. He was mobile and could go deep. You have to keep QBs like that. Well, …… that too can be taken to the extreme, witness Russell with the Raiders.
Brian,
If McNabb was white would you defend him as much?
I’ve defended good QB’s before.
Oh, and I guess Marshall Faulk sucked since Indy didn’t keep him back in the day. Or Emit Smith… Yeah, Dallas didn’t bring him back when he was past his prime did they?
I’ll tell you something though…. McNabb didn’t throw 20 INT’s in 2 or 3 different times in his career. We shouldn’t forget that BF is also number 1 on the INT list and he threw plenty of soul crushing INT’s in playoff games in the 2000’s.
You didn’t answer the question I asked.
Babe Ruth held the strike out record for years.
Of course if he was getting hate that he didn’t deserve. I was defending Peyton when he was thought of as a mediocre playoff performer and a guy that wouldn’t ever win a championship.
That’s the race card, isn’t it Brian. The race card is a tool of a weak mind.
McNabb is not as good a the billing. That’s the truth.
Funny that a QB considered so good by some was traded to a divisional rival. It’s clear the coaching staff at Philadelphia didn’t feel threatened to trade McNabb to Washington. Think about it Brian.
On the other hand Green Bay would not even consider trading Favre to Minnesota, or even Tampa Bay. And do you think Pittsburgh would trade Ben Roethlisberger to Baltimore? Think about it Brian.
Amino… McNabb has been past his prime for a few years. McNabb wasn’t the first good QB to be traded or not brought back after he was past his prime.
I didn’t say he was traded. I said he was traded to a divisional rival.
Who cares? The point is the guy was past his prime… And they had Micheal Vick and Kevin Kolb on the bench. It’s a fairly unique situation.
Who cares? I see you don’t.
Favre was also past his prime. The Packer front office still absolutely REFUSED to trade him to Minnesota. But then Favre is one of the best of all time, if not the best of alltime. McNabb wasn’t even the best of his time. and as it turns out he wasn’t even the best on his own team.
Kevin Kolb? They don’t think too highly of Kolb either. He’s now at Arizona.
Vick. He is good, better than McNabb ever was. But they don’t think so highly of him either. They got Vince Young on the team now. And there was talk they wanted Favre. But Favre doesn’t want to come back.
Face it Brian, McNabb is not as good as you are thinking he is.
*Sigh* Kevin Kolb wanted to play and Philly really couldn’t keep both. Obviously Vick brings more marketability to the table and he played well last year… So they chose him. It appears Kolb grumbled and wanted to play. You know he’s played well when he’s got on the field, but he’s been in the league 3 or 4 years and only got to play here and there. You think he wanted to continue to ride the bench? I think he also get a new contract or will be getting a new contract. They’re not going to pay both of these guys.
http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/contracts/nfl/arz/
Kolb just got a 6 year 65 million dollar contract. You think Philly was going to give him that type of contract to just sit on the bench? Not likely. So they traded him. The Eagles signed Young as a back up to a contract worth 4 million dollars over 2 years. That’s a lot cheaper than paying Kolb to be a back up ,ain’t it?
So Kolb isn’t great, and he was McNabb’s replacement. Ok, finally you admit McNabb is not that great.
Night now.
“So Kolb isn’t great, and he was McNabb’s replacement. Ok, finally you admit McNabb is not that great.
Night now.”
WOW… All I can do is shake my head at you.
230 career touch down passes…. A Super Bowl appearance and division titles. A 4 touch down game on a broken foot.
That’s what Amino.
If he was white would you defend him so much?
Kolb was paid 65 million to back up McNabb? Really? They paid him that much because they had plans for keeping McNabb? They traded Kolb to Arizona because he was a great player and they wanted Arizona to have a great QB?
He must be great in order to take Donovan McNabbs job away. Makes perfectly good sense.
And remember, Shanahan pulled McNabb from a game and replaced him with Rex Grossman—yeah, that Rex Grossman.
Kolb was paid 65 million to back up McNabb? Really? They paid him that much because they had plans for keeping McNabb? They traded Kolb to Arizona because he was a great player and they wanted Arizona to have a great QB?

It usually makes sense to replace a QB that is past his prime. But lol. You can believe what you want even though you’re wrong.
According to your logic:
-Shaq isn’t one of the greatest of all time or even good. He was traded by LA.
-Ken Griffey Jr isn’t one of the all time greats because he as traded by Seattle to The Reds.
-Joe Montana was traded to KC. So he wasn’t that good either.
-Marshall Faulk wasn’t good or great because Indy traded him.
-Dominique Wilkins wasn’t a good or great basketball player because he was traded. Even when he was still playing at a high level.
-Pistol Peter Maravich was traded from the Hawks to the Jazz. Why didn’t they hang on to him if he was so good?
-Did you know that The Falcons actually traded Brett Favre? It appears that he wasn’t worth keeping since he was traded. I mean, why didn’t they hang onto the guy if he was so good?
Can the “He wasn’t that good because he was traded” argument. It sucks and isn’t realistic.

I never said McNabb was top 10 all time at anything. So your posts here are irreverent.
A said he was a very good QB in his prime and you’ve given no evidence that points otherwise. The stats don’t back you up. The Eagles really good run for about 6-8 years doesn’t back you up. Your wrong.
If it will make you feel any better… The most overrated player of the 2000’s is Reggie Bush. A lot of hype, so so NFL career.
The post is about Favre. Look more closely. You had made a sarcastic comment about Favre’s interceptions. I put it in perspective.

Irreverent or irrelevant?
The comments about top 10 QB’s and TD to interception started ratio with this:
Speaking of putting Favres interceptions in perspective….
Irreverent does however apply to your opinion of Brett Favre. Embellished applies to your opinion of Donovan McNabb.
But you want to have an overrating of him because he is black. That’s up to you. Other people strive for truth. Other people want to judge what they see in a person based on something other than the color of their skin.
I’m not going to be replying to you on this anymore because I will just be seeing more of the same in your comments. I know what you think of McNabb. I get it.
Is that Peyton or Archie? Archie was unquestionably the best quarterback to play on losing teams. But he will never be talked about as great, because the Saints had nothing else.
Peyton
More Brian nonsense.
Not exactly. Read this thread from the top again, this thread was about a 1934 cartoon lampooning FDR and Socialism. You are not just a troll threadjacker but a racist threadjacker for inexcusably taking racial potshots at Limbaugh of all people. Race was nowhere to be found until *you* slithered out of your cave with pretty much the script from the enemy propaganda organization Media Matters or some other from the left-wing cabal. Racist by the way, always used to mean someone who is consumed by race (Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are good examples). So Brian, what would *you* call a person dragging race into a thread on FDR Socialism?
Personally I would call Limbaugh’s comments politically incorrect, which to me is a good thing (you may recognize that term as it was used oxymoronically by your hero, the oxymoron Bill Maher as the title of his crappy show some years ago). In my opinion Rush was pointing out the politically correct comments of the sports writers, specifically their affirmative action reverse racism by pumping up an average player because of his skin color. Look, it’s real simple, if Jackie Robinson or Tiger Woods had sucked don’t you understand that they (and likewise their fawning sports writers) would be fair game as well? Not to mention all the Great White Hopes, where do they fit in the racist leftist mind?
Clearly your position is that Rush should have shut up entirely or been politically correct and made stuff up about the reason the sports media had a love affair with an over-rated quarterback (the parallel to Barry is astounding btw), instead of telling the truth. The problem is in your default instinct Brian, to lie (or at best to dodge), so of course you are a (D) Libtard. You not only lack the courage to personally address politically incorrect issues head-on (like Rush did), but you also lack the courage to even hear it said by someone else (Rush) without going insane and throwing around the Racism allegation.
When you promote political correctness you intentionally dodge the issues and you accomplish nothing at all. Your babbling is meaningless and no-one cares. But the opposite, what Rush said half a dozen years ago, you remember to this very day. Being politically correct is the easy thing to do but it is the cowardly thing to do. On the other hand being politically incorrect *is* the courageous path, particularly when liberal scum are out to destroy you with bogus racism charges.
(that quote from earlier I just noticed now) … Ummm, hey genius, I assure you I don’t look like anyone on Leave it to Beaver! Is this some new politically correct (;-)) way to call free black folk (you know, free from the plantation party) an Uncle Tom? wtf? But to answer that last bit, I *do* know exactly who you hate Brian, you hate yourself. And with very good reason from what I can tell.
On a politically incorrect lighter note. Who do you like: Joe Louis? Rocky Marciano? Ali?

And remember, Shanahan pulled McNabb from a game and replaced him with Rex Grossman—yeah, that Rex Grossman.”
Breaking News! Shanahan pulls a past his prime QB! Interesting development. You haven’t seem to be able to grasp the idea that McNabb was past his prime a year or so before he even left. Why can’t you seem to accept that fact?
The numbers don’t back you up… I mean in the top 30 in TD’s? If that’s bad than most of the QB’s that have played the game are complete shit. It’s not adding up for you pal.
I’m going to ask this one last time, and you probably won’t answer it again: if McNabb was white would you defend him this much? You are fixated on making him into more than he is.
You haven’t given a legit argument to him not being very good. You gave some laughable crap about him not being good because he was traded. Which I’ve already shown you that it’s a weak argument.
I’ve already answered the other question. I’d defend him from laughable arguments like yours no matter what color he was. You haven’t proven that he’s not a really good QB.
All I can say is:

You need to slow down and pay more attention. I never said he wasn’t very good. But that what you wanted to see. That’s what you think I said. Why did you see that? Because you have a bias in your mind, a prejudice. You saw what you wanted to see.
So what have I been saying? I said he is not as good as you think he is.
I said you embellish reality when it comes to him.
And I said Philadelphia wasn’t afraid to trade him to Washington, a division rival, but Green Bay would never trade Favre to Minnesota, a division rival. That should tell you something about NcNabb. And as it turns out Philadelphia was right to not be afraid because Shanahan ended up benching McNabb and putting in Rex Grossman. Philly passed the problem over to Washington and saved a bundle in salary cap in the process. The owner at Washington isn’t the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. He’s the one that gave a $100 million contract to Albert Haynesworth. There’s a sucker born every minute I guess.
But now your overrated McNabb is at Minnesota. Let’s watch this year and see if he can get Minnesota to the NFC finals in his first year like Favre got them to the NFC finals in his first year there.
Brian says:

You haven’t proven that he’s not a really good QB.
If him getting benched and replaced by Rex Grossman doesn’t change your mind I can’t imagine what will.
And I never disputed Brett’s entire career… I said he’s had more failures since 2000 than most people would admit. Especially playoff failures.
You can believe what you’d like. But Favre took 2 teams that were not good enough to be in a Super Bowl to the brink of being in the Super Bowl. I have grown tired of your bias.
“Not exactly. Read this thread from the top again, this thread was about a 1934 cartoon lampooning FDR and Socialism. You are not just a troll threadjacker but a racist threadjacker for inexcusably taking racial potshots at Limbaugh of all people.”
I’m a racist because I’m a white guy that suspects Limbaugh is a racist? Huh?
No, I suspect Limbaugh is a racist because he’s not unlike many of the racists I grew up around. I’ll admit the link I posted about Rush was a mistake. Does that change my feelings about him? No. He can say whatever he wants. But he’s not saying anything that’s going to change my mind.
“Race was nowhere to be found until *you* slithered out of your cave with pretty much the script from the enemy propaganda organization Media Matters or some other from the left-wing cabal.”
lol. I’m no democrat son. I’ve never even voted.
“Racist by the way, always used to mean someone who is consumed by race (Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are good examples). So Brian, what would *you* call a person dragging race into a thread on FDR Socialism?”
Both of those guys are douchers. I wouldn’t defend either one. Most likely they’re racists also. It’s not like there isn’t criticisms of Obama on this blog. It’s happened a number of times. And yes, I’m probably wrong to tie that it with being racists so much. I’ve criticized the guy, but I know I’m not a racist. I don’t know that about other people. If anything, it’s about my mistrust of people. I have a rather cynical outlook about people. I admit that. I suspect many conservatives are racists because that’s the type of people I grew up around and have seen much of my life.
“(that quote from earlier I just noticed now) … Ummm, hey genius, I assure you I don’t look like anyone on Leave it to Beaver! When I say Ward Cleaver I mean in regards to being a traditionalist 1950’s mindset type of person. I don’t know what that’s supposed to have to do with anything about being an Uncle Tom. You can say what you want about me, but I know what I am and what I’m not. And that’s all that matters there.
As far as politics go, I think most in the game is full of shit. Politics now seems to me to be about reaching a certain position and mostly any cost. And I admit that I’m not always sure which direction to lash out at the most.
But you’re dead wrong if you think I’m purposely out to lie to people. Dead wrong.
No, you are a racist because you do not debate the issues, instead trying to turn all discussions to race. You are a racist because you have a double standard between white men and black men. You are not a racist like those who you grew up around, who would appear from your description to be open and honest racists. instead you are the worst kind of racists. The ones who use the facade of caring and paternalism to ensure blacks and other races do not have an equal chance or opportunity. In short, you are no different than any other liberal whose sole aim is to use blacks for political gain, and keep them subservient for their own purposes.
No Phil… You’re just giving a spin job here.
I just admitted Jesse Jackson and others are likely racists. There is no double standard here. I’ve seen plenty of racism from black people on internet forums and such.
“You are not a racist like those who you grew up around, who would appear from your description to be open and honest racists. instead you are the worst kind of racists.”
First thing, racism is racism… No matter if it’s out in the open or behind closed doors. What I said was that a lot of the people I know… Yeah, they’re open with racism as long as whites are the only ones around.
I know you want me to be a liberal Phil. But I’m not. I’m not even much into politics. If I was, I’d probably have a better idea of who to vent my frustrations at the most.
You turned an article to racism where there is none. That is accusing others of your sins. You have no one to blame other than yoursel for the way you are seen. Clearly you are trying to pin the label of racism on any criticism of Obama, because you feel in some way that it is unfair, yet every president since the beginning of this country has been criticized. YOu can try to spin it anyway you like, but you seem to want to treat blacks differently because you feel they need the extra protection? Most of us do not care about race. It is not a positive or negative. But for the ones such as yourself, you have to look at color first to decide how to treat the person. That is racism and as I said, the worst kind.

I’ve done criticized Obama myself. Stop the bullshit. Clearly, he doesn’t really deserve a re-election. Just because I suspected that this blog is full of republican types that I’ve seen my whole life doesn’t mean that I think Obama is a god or something.
I highly doubt that you were very critical of George Bush though.
“Most of us do not care about race. It is not a positive or negative. But for the ones such as yourself, you have to look at color first to decide how to treat the person. That is racism and as I said, the worst kind.”
Most people don’t care about race? Bullshit.
You suspected wrong. I have never been a republican, nor care to be. Denying what you did is foolish since it is already here. You project your own inadeqacies on others. You still think we are a racist country, I disagree because I am not racist. But you cannot see anything other than through the eyes of racism. As I said, the worst kind.
Brian,
What do you mean you don’t play the race card? You have been playing it as a matter of course.
Whether there is a god is open for debate. But whether there is a Jesus is not. YOu are an idiot for arguing against historical facts. You may not think he is the son of god, but to deny his existance is shere stupidity.
It doesn’t matter of Jesus existed or not now. Not to anyway.
I’m not saying that it’s a terrible thing to live with the idea that there is a God. As long as your not insane, the idea can help guide you to a decent way of life. It didn’t help my mother unfortunately as she was still depressed and broken all the time. That’s about all the memories I have of her though since he died when I was young.
But I don’t believe there is in fact a God, but I’m not really interested in discussing it anyway.
It does – it goes to your credibility. He existed. You may or may not believe he is the son of God. But to deny his existence is to try to deny reality. I do not argue religion. I am stating history.
I am glad I am not the only one who sees them as cheaters. I was so glad when the Giants beat them in the SB to ruin their so called “perfect” season. Miami earned it, but that would have really sullied the record if they had allowed a cheating team to hold that record with an honest team.
You can believe whatever you like, but Bush did not go BACK to Iraq, we never left. The war was not over. It was started by Saddam. You have already denied historical facts in your zealotry to deny religion. Now you are again trying to deny history for other nefarious reasons. You have a serious denial problem. What next, the Holocaust?
Of course the war wasn’t over in some peoples mind. Obviously it wasn’t in George Bush’s and Dick Cheney’s mind. While we can note the left’s inability to act, we can’t pretend that the republican party has a “Cowboy” like complex. Can’t you just picture George Bush sitting around watch Sly and Arnie’s shitty action movies? Or old John Wayne movies? I sure can.
*Doesn’t Have*
