I was working on geothermal energy at Los Alamos in the mid-1970s, thirty years before Gore discovered this new technology. Los Alamos gave up on it because it is environmentally destructive and a waste of time.

There are a few places with the right combination of volcanoes and groundwater that have real geothermal energy.

We have geothermal for our home. Thus far we are very happy with it. Last years total heating/cooling/hot water cost was under $600. The light bill is higher.
