‘Colossal incompetence or a cover-up’

The US press still thinks they can help Obama with the cover up, but I doubt it is going to work for much longer.

John McCain calls for Watergate-style probe over Benghazi attack

Sen. John McCain is calling for establishment of a Watergate-style congressional committee to investigate the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

The Arizona Republican told “CBS This Morning” he believes the unanswered questions surrounding events at Benghazi on Sept. 11 require such a select committee.

This administration has either been guilty of colossal incompetence or engaged in a cover-up,” McCain said on the Senate floor shortly after introducing the resolution.

No wonder the country is divided, the MSM has chosen sides.

In the larger scheme of things this is a none issue. I’m not sure why the US is so obsessed about it? Far more pressing matters in that part of the world now with both Iran and it’s drive to nuclear weapons and also Israel and the Palestinians.

    Andy

    • Where do you come up with this sort of nonsense?

      • Obviously, he lives in that part of the World (most of the world) where two-bit dictators, who blatantly mislead their people on matters large and small, as a matter of insulting, self-serving and haughty personal routine, are simply accepted as the way things are. This is why the United States stands for respect for the rights of every individual over those of the “state” (the latter too often being merely the whim, immorality or cirminality of the “leader(s)” of the state). “Leader of the Free World” means something — get it? “President” Obama has lied, and continues to lie and evade, about an attack upon ambassadorial representatives of the United States of America, by militants AT WAR WITH THE UNITED STATES. That is giving aid and comfort to the enemy, plain and simple, and that is the common definition of treason — on the part of the President himself, and amazingly, just at the time he has been re-elected by morons like Andy, who, like too many academics and consensus scientists today, have no idea how to match the strength of a cause to the expected level of its effects; they have no sense of scale and balancing of forces — in Andy’s case, ethical forces, not physical ones — in their judgment. The preponderance of Andies in the world today is why the problems of race, religion, tribal hatreds and inter-national aggressions are destabilizing the world, and ineluctably, if not recognized and stopped, leading to World War III; there is no proper sense of cause and effect, just “an eye for an eye” as the answer to every frustration, of racists, deluded believers, and ambitious, hungry men like Obama, on every level of human endeavor.

    • If you have a large enough scheme, then nothing matters!

Still, in any scheme, foreigners killing Americans is a bigger issue than a burglary. You might want to rethink your line of apology

    • John B., M.D. says:

Lying to the American public before a Presidential election is a non-issue?
Remember, Obama said he can multi-task and handle many problems at once.
Obama cannot be trusted – one has to start with the null hypothesis that anything he or his administration says is a lie.

    • leftinbrooklyn says:

Yeah, we should have given Nixon a pass also.

We can’t trust our president to tell the truth, but we should trust his leadership thru those ‘far more pressing matters’?

  4. ralph says:

“Colossal incompetence” pretty much covers the last four years for Obama.

  5. Andy DC says:

I suppose like weapons of mass destruction and waterboarding that this will blow over.

  6. philjourdan says:

Congress did not bring down Nixon. The press did. And they can continue to prop up Obama as they have. They no longer live in the real world, but in a fantasy world of no responsibility, where all bad is due to someone else, not your own actions.

    • cdquarles says:

The sad thing was the aftermath. The following election produced one of the largest Democrat majority Congresses ever (both houses) which did all kinds of crap, including failure to enforce the terms of the Viet Nam peace treaty.

    Both.
