Richard Lindzen, is a notorious global warming denier who also denies that smoking causes cancer.
Richard Lindzen questioned a study about the effects of second hand smoke. He has failed to comply with the climate politburo party line, so we must make up lies about him.
I think that was Fred Singer, and his beef was legitimate, that the EPA had grossly overstated the risk of second hand smoke (which they admitted). Never did he argue that there was no risk, simply that EPA used shoddy statistics to arrive at a predetermined conclusion, a practice adopted by virtually all government agencies now. The new standard is that it must sound “sciency”.

Looks like Lindzen was also pointing out how bad some of the techniques used by activists were.
It doesn’t surprise me that the anti-smoking Nazis would exaggerate their claims. When ever a cause becomes a crusade, that becomes inevitable.
I’m an ex smoker. I smoked about 5 to 10 cigarettes a day. 7 years ago they found a cancer on the back of my tongue. I’m also not a big drinker, a beer so now and than and some wine.
My father in law age 84 , overweight 140kg, likes to drink the 40º stuff , 30 to 40 cigarettes a day and no problems he hasn’t even got cholesterol.
The saddest thing to see when you’re in hospital is all those young kids that are there for cancer treatment

Mainstream skeptics have always acknowledged that the second hand smoke claims were junk science while also acknowledging the smoking causes cancer claim fairly solid. This is somewhat like climate skeptics acknowledging there has been warming in the 20th century while disputing the dubious claims that it has been catastrophic or that it will be.
I’m waiting for the new Climate Change KGB knock on the door at midnight! I’m sure they have been watching me.
