CBS News has learned that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) cut specific references to “al Qaeda” and “terrorism” from the unclassified talking points given to Ambassador Susan Rice on the Benghazi consulate attack – with the agreement of the CIA and FBI. The White House or State Department did not make those changes.
an intelligence source tells CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan the links to al Qaeda were deemed too “tenuous” to make public, because there was not strong confidence in the person providing the intelligence
You can’t make this stuff up. There was no proof that al Qaeda was involved in a heavily armed attack at Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11, so Obama did the obvious thing – blamed it on YouTube, and jailed the filmmaker.
The useful idiots at CBS news take the bait – hook, line and sinker.
CBS and the rest of the mainstream media are as corrupt, arrogant and stupid as the man they are protecting – Obama. The media are nothing more then propaganda outlets for the White House. They worship the fool. They did a great job getting him reelected. I’m sure they’ll have no trouble covering up his incompetence and lies for four more years. Journalists have no ethics. They are as shameless and sleazy as the the Climate Liars.
You cannot separate them as they are part of the Climate Liar Chicken Little Brigade.
Obama can always count on the fact that there is no shortage of stupid people and that they breed like roaches..
Yep. It’s not ‘hoping’ we’re the stupidest people on earth, it’s knowing that we are: We made this White House the White House. Again.
1. If DNI made the changes, and the White house was unaware, then how in Obama’s name does he claim to have stated it was a terrorist attack a day later in the Rose Garden, since that language had been conveniently scrubbed BEFORE the White House ever saw the intelligence brief.
2. OK so DNI scrubbed the al-Qaeda link because it was tenuous. And now they are asking us to believe that the video link was not tenuous? I’m sorry, but did the video maker send the RPGs, machine guns and other heavy weapons that where used by the “mob”?
Tenuous? They must think us ingenuous.
But the link between the film and the attack was concrete. No questions there, run with it.
As solid as the link between CO2 and Sandy! 😉
For those who’d criticize Steve for going off-message from global warming, this Benghazi thing – like narratives in AGW – is indicative of a FAR larger problem in dire need of solving. Namely, the mainstream media not doing their traditional job of reporting all the facts and asking tough questions about critical situations.
I’ve stayed very narrowly on the smear of skeptic climate scientists in virtually all my online pieces, but I had to get into this issue as well last month….. and I tied AGW reporting into it at the end of the piece: “PBS NewsHour’s ‘Fact-Checking Debate Claims on Libya Attacks’ skips their own 9/12 facts” http://www.redstate.com/russellc/2012/10/18/pbs-newshours-fact-checking-debate-claims-on-libya-attacks-skips-their-own-912-facts/
I read that one, Russell. You made your point there, and I agree with your conclusions.

Stupid lies!
Almost everything we are witnessing is part of a great demonstration of the Hegelian Dialectic If you focus on any single head of the beast the other heads will still bite you.
The “beast” is not a vague “dialectic”, or general logical process, but specific, unquestioned dogmas, ancient and modern, and the willingness of mankind to defer to them now, out of negative and fearful emotions. It is the future that is uncertain, not the manner in which we got to this point.
We are being groomed to accept, even demand, a different a lifestyle by use of contrived threats. There is nothing vague about it.
