  1. Dave N says:

Science doesn’t make judgments. As for fires and droughts, Obama fails history.

  2. omanuel says:

Dogmatic religions of the 16th and 17th Century differ little from the dogmatic scientists who have falsely claimed since 1945 that the fountain of energy at the core of the solar system (the Sun) is a giant ball of hydrogen generating energy by H-fusion.

The empirical fact is that cores of galaxies, stars, some planets (Jupiter and Saturn), and heavy atoms (uranium and plutonium) are energized by the same source of energy – neutron repulsion [1,2]. H is not the primary fuel, but a waste product. Misinformation ont the Sun produced AGW.

    • Herve D says:

Sorry Omanuel: Neutrons have a strong affinity for atom nuclei, even with thse for which they have very little attractivity.
Never a neutron repulsion was neither detected nor theorized.
The “repulsion” you refer to, is electrostatic repulsion between positively charged nuclei end proton.

Now we know why OM is a ‘theorist’ and I am an engineer; I like to actually *test* my hypothesis (or creations) in the real world. Too many ‘theorists’ have come and gone in history and were flat dead WRONG!

      .

      • omanuel says:

You may also want to apply your “engineering” skills to the data on pages 6-12 – data that show beyond doubt the Sun’s pulsar core:

        1. Made our elements
        2. Birthed the solar system 5 Ga ago
        3. Sustained the origin and evolution of life after 3.5 Ga ago
        4. Endowed all of us with conscious awareness and creative talents
        5. Including even the horribly destructive talents of those who sought to rule the world

      • _Jim says:

Theoreticals and hypotheticals; the domain of those with more time than ‘sense’ in a lot of cases …

I think an individual with a good grounding in the basics has a better chance of proposing sound ‘theories’ when confronting heretofore unseen phenomenon than an individual who has only spent his (or her) time engaging in nothing but abstract ‘desk’ experiments; the individual with the good grounding can more quickly ‘weed out’ the normative answers or explanations before moving into proposing ‘new’ theory.

  3. Ron Van Wegen says:

That’s an unfair statement of what the sitaution was in late the middle ages. 97% of those involved in thinking about things like astronomy believed the sun went around the earth. Your headline implies that it was just a religious belief. It wasn’t. It was a societal belief and just as many “Vatican” personnel held that belief as others did who weren’t employed by the Church.

    • Dave N says:

The point is that those who challenged the notion were met with fierce opposition from the church. “Consensus” climate scientists may not be a religious organisation, however they’re certainly acting the same.

      • It’s about boondoggles not religion, unless you’re a green activist of course.

      • Andy OZ says:

You americans have such cool but wierd words.
        Boondoggle!
Defn: Make-work projects for the unemployed……maybe climate science graduates?
        LOL

And based on what I have been able to ascertain, I don’t think that is a correct representation or description of what took place. This is most likely neither the place nor the time to take this deeper though …

As the Divine Vatican Chart shows,
the Sun is the Fourth Planet from the Earth.
Believe it or else you will feel the heat.
This is the oppressive downside of dogma.
Global Warming Religion has the same problem.

  5. omanuel says:

I do not want to start a religious war, but this post raises an intriguing question:

Do Vatican Experts Still Control Western Science?

The best available experimental data and observations from the nuclear and space age show that the same source of energy in the Sun [1-5]:
    a.) Made our elements,
b.) Birthed the Solar System five billion years (5 Gyr) ago,
c.) Sustained the origin and evolution of life from ~3.5 Gyr ago,
d.) Endowed mankind with creativity, talents and inalienable rights,
    e.) Controls Earth’s climate and a volume of space > 10^19 Earths, &
f.) Destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 Aug1945, respectively

      You’re certifiably nuts.

      Now we know.

  6. Keitho says:

Sorry to have to point this out chaps but if the Universe is a sphere of infinite radius as Einstein surmised then where could Earth be other than at its centre. In fact everywhere is at the centre of the Universe and each of us is at the centre of our own universe.

Now if you are talking of the Galaxy, well that’s a whole different thing but, as a fellow who understands that the Universe is Einstinian in shape I have to concede that we are at its very centre.

  7. philjourdan says:

If you repeat a lie often enough……

I have seen so many quote the 97%, When I point out where that number came from and how fraudulent it is, they are mortally wounded! And of course attack like a mortally wounded animal (which makes me laugh at them).

Every time the claim is made, it must be challenged, or it will become a fact.

  8. DJG says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t current cosmological understanding hold that the universe, not being a three dimensional entity, has no borders, and so any place of it could be said to be its”center”?

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away …

Give me the knowledge to calculate the static and dynamics ‘loads’ seen in a building or a bridge for the purposes of safely designing same, or the knowledge to calculate the required ‘loading’ on any particular given transistor to design for maximum gain or power output; we can save the arguments about ‘how many angels can dance on the head of a pin’ for idle, after-dinner conversation, where technique in argumentation is perfected, and little else …
