There are few who have done more to discredit the discipline of climate science than Michael Mann. You’d think these data manipulators and purveyors of pseudo-scientific hokum would give up while they are behind, but it appears they just can’t help themselves:
The latest is a recent effort by another group of alarmists headed by geologist Shaun Marcott to resurrect Mann’s bogus stick. Despite the fact that Marcott’s paper passed “peer review” (It is suspected Mann was one of the reviewers), it took McIntyre and a few colleagues only a few minutes to uncover the fraud http://climateaudit.org/2013/03/16/the-marcott-shakun-dating-service/ which this time involved re-dating ocean core samples.

Madoff is in jail. True justice would deliver a similar fate to Michael Mann et al.

Maybe Marcott should be the first, he is new to the climate gang and vulnerable. This is blatant fraud and someone needs to hold Smartnott accountable.
This posting is highly misleading. The actual Yale article is very favorable to Mann and critical of climate skeptics. The quote is from the on-line comments, not the actual article.

Yes the journalist is brown nosing, but it is the alumni that shred Mann to pieces. Almost every response by the commentators are both detailed and critical of the man and his work.

Michael Mann is a true American hero. One day all his detractors will be in jail with Madoff because their fraud and harm to America is even bigger.

Prof Mann has done more to discredit climate science than any person alive. The quality of his work is so poor that it only reflects on the need of journals to absorb tax payer money to publish.
One really has to feel sorry for Dr. Mann. He is a man of little intelligence, one who through conspiracy theory become well known. His papers have been discredited, yet he continues to speak.
The Science Community, as a whole, has very little use for Dr. Mann. A professor I talked to the other day put it very directly. “SHUT UP. You do NOT know what you are talking about”.
