It is illegal to shoot Golden Eagles, but if you kill thousands of them in the name of green energy, you are a green hero and get big tax breaks and subsidies from the government. The US Park Service says that there are twenty thousand Golden Eagles in the western US

The most recent survey of Golden Eagles  across four large Bird Conservation  Regions (BCRs) in the West (80 percent  of the species’ range in the lower 48  states is in these BCRs) provided an  estimate of 20,722 Golden Eagles of all  ages across the survey area.

The Altamont Pass wind farm kills one Golden Eagle every three days, which means they have killed more than 10% of the current population.

Dr. Shawn Smallwood’s 2004 study, spanning four years, estimated that California’s Altamont Pass wind “farm” killed an average of 116 Golden Eagles annually (2). This adds up to 2,900 dead “goldies” since it was built 25 years ago.

Greens want to put these impenetrable death traps up all over the country. Birds have essentially no chance of flying through a wind farm safely.

Turbine blades are as long as a football field, and travel more than 100 miles per hour. They create low pressure in their wake, which sucks flying creatures in and then decapitates them, similar to what ISIS terrorists do.

January 6, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – San Diego County’s 48 pairs of nesting golden eagles and even rarer bald eagles could be in peril if proposed industrial-scale wind farms are built.  In a press release issued today,  Save the Eagles International (STEI) issued a dire warning, providing detailed documentation proving  that golden eagles and their nests are disappearing rapidly near wind farms across the U.S.

The group also blasted the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for changing its mission from protecting wildlife to “catering to the interests of an industry” that is a “ruinous one to boot.”

Although the studies focused on golden eagles, if no major action is taken, wind turbines’ razor-sharp blades will also threaten the existence of other species, STEI predicts.

The international group “solemnly warns the Western States that the biologically-blind policies will cause the extinction of the Golden Eagle, the California Condor, and other species of raptors.” Also at risk are species in Eastern and Central states, such as the Whooping Crane.

Quite a troupe of well paid traveling clowns. This one particularly caught my attention.

“I jumped at the promise of a five-year contract!” said Alessandra Giannini, a professor at Columbia University’s Earth Institute who studies the effects of warming oceans on Africa’s Sahel region.

Giannini’s research has conclusively demonstrated that the persistent drought that afflicted the Sahel region in the 1970s and 1980s could be tied to rising sea surface temperatures worldwide. 

Had Giannini done any actual research, she would have known that drought in the Sahel during the 1970’s was caused by global cooling, not global warming. The entire premise of her research is bogus.  How many millions of dollars have been wasted by her doing research which can be proved wrong by five seconds on Google?

Giannini said, however, that “we should do all we can to curb the warming. Otherwise I am convinced that the ice caps will melt, and there will be no going back.”

But to be fair, temperatures have actually been declining for at least 1,000 years – when Vikings farms were surrounded by forests.

This is all very inconvenient for climate scamsters at the US government, so they simply alter the data, to turn a Greenland cooling trend into a warming trend.

The UK government plans to go 100% “renewable” – which apparently means they are perfectly happy to let the population freeze to death, dark and hungry. Climate alarmism and policy is an attempt at the largest genocide in history.  Once the coal, nuclear and natural gas plants are shut down, people are going to die.

But I’m not being fair – people are already dying by the tens of thousands due to green energy taxes.

People need to stop imagining they are saving Polar Bears, and start thinking about saving themselves. Imaginary global warming isn’t keeping anyone warm.

Actual scientists like Bill Gray get their funding cut off for telling the truth about the climate. But climate fraudsters willing to push the global warming scam get huge multi-year grants and trips to France.

I nominate Michael Mann, Katherine Hayhoe and Gavin Schmidt to be deported to France.

This week featured some spectacular examples of junk science and outright fraud from the collection of crooks known as government funded climate scientists.

The first problem with this claim is there is no such thing as an “average US county.” Days with mean temperatures above 32C are extremely hot and are confined to a few locations in a few states in the south and southwest.  Most states haven’t seen temperatures that hot since 1936. But the bigger problem is that days with mean temperatures above 32C have been declining in the US for a century.  The only two years with widespread mean temperatures above 32C were 1936 and 1934.  The other three hot summers were 1954, 1980 and the Texas/Oklahoma heatwave of 2011.

The next graph adds in the MIT forecast to 2070.

The MIT/National Academy forecast is utter nonsense, with no basis in fact, science or rational thought. Which is why it made it through climate science peer review. I can remember when MIT was a respected and respectable institution, before government climate money corrupted them.

The other amazing news story is the starving Polar Bear in Baffin Bay – where sea ice extent is right at the 1981-2010 mean. I flew over Baffin Bay yesterday and didn’t see any starving Polar Bears.

Arctic sea ice extent is close to normal, and nowhere near a record low.

Polar Bear expert Susan Crockford pointed out that whatever afflicted the bear probably has nothing to do with sea ice, and that the people who filmed it were aware of that fact but didn’t care about facts in their propaganda piece.

Facts and climate science have nothing to do with each other. It is about the corruption of science via billions of dollars of government funding.
