In yesterday’s hearing, top climate fraudster Mikey Mann ranted that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is collapsing due to your SUV. Forty years ago this same scam was the lead story in the Chicago Tribune, but the National Science Foundation said at the time that it has nothing to do with climate.

Forty years ago, global cooling killed us all.

On March 29, 1986 almost the entire country was over 70 degrees, with temperatures above 100 degrees in California. CO2 was below 350 PPM. The only other years with similar warmth on March 29 were 1910, 1946 and 1968.

A few weeks later, NASA’s James Hansen was ramping up his global warming insanity, spreading wild mispredictions and flat out lies.

Hansen predicted the DC area would see a huge increase in the number of 90 and 100 degree days. The exact opposite has occurred. The frequency of both 90 and 100 degree days in the rural DC area has been plummeting for 85 years.

Hansen predicted a large increase in the number of nights above 80F. Rural DC hasn’t had such a night for 20 years.

Hansen predicted nine degrees rise in US temperatures by 2020. Afternoon temperatures in the US have been plummeting for a century.

Hansen said the evidence of a warming trend was overwhelming. Three years later Tom Karl directly contradicted him, and said almost all warming occurred before 1919.

Hansen’s final prediction was a total 3-5 degrees US warming by the 2010s. Obviously that hasn’t happened. The global warming scam is being pushed by crooks, liars, witch doctors and frauds, and has been since the day it began.
