Arctic could become ice-free for first time in more than 100,000 years, claims leading scientist | The Independent

Every year we are told by Nobel Prize winners, climate scientists and environmental activists that the Arctic will be ice-free that year. They are flat-earthers.

It is impossible for the Arctic to be ice-free under current climate conditions, because the Earth is round. Because of the high albedo of clouds and ice and the low angle of the sun, north of 80N they don’t get enough solar energy to melt that much ice. The prevailing winds also jam the ice up against the Canadian Coast, and make it very thick.

Climate scientists have been making idiotic predictions about an ice-free Arctic for generations. They have no idea what they are talking about.

Climate scientists cleverly start their sea ice graphs at the year 1979, which was after the third consecutive very cold winter, and the coldest winter of the last century. So of course there was a huge amount of ice.

The 1990 IPCC report contained high quality NOAA satellite data back to 1974, which showed almost two million km² increase in ice from 1974 to 1979.

NSIDC ignores this data, because it would show how fraudulent their linear trend is.

The Northwest Passage was open in 1904. If you believed the propaganda from NSIDC, you would think there was 50 feet of ice there a century ago.

This 1:10,000 increase in atmospheric CO2 over the past century is equivalent to packing an extra ten people into the Rose Bowl over the past century, or one extra person per decade.

Back when the Hayhoe climate was stable, Earth experienced radical climate change, unheard of heat, and disappearing glaciers.

In fact, Gavin Schmidt reported significant cooling as CO2 increased.
