Thirty years ago, James Hansen made some spectacularly poor global warming predictions before Congress.

Hansen predicted two degrees global warming by 2006.

He was off by a factor of ten. Earth warmed about 0.2 degrees from June 1986 to June 2006.

Hansen predicted 3 or 4 degrees of US warming between 2010 and 2020

The US has seen little or no warming since 1986.

Hansen predicted a huge increase in the number of hot days at Omaha, Nebraska and Washington, DC.

The exact opposite has occurred. Both places have seen a decline in the number of hot days.

Climate scientists have no idea what they are talking about, and their CO2 superstition is not based on science.

Mark Serreze said this mindless idiocy a few days ago.

“We’ve never seen anything like this before,” said Mark Serreze, who directs the (NSIDC) center. “It’s way below the previous record, very far below it, and we’re something like almost a month ahead of where we were in 2012.”

Arctic sea ice extent is actually right where it always is this time of year, and melting at a record slow pace.

There is almost no melt occurring in the Arctic, as I have pointing out the last few weeks and getting widely attacked by the usual climate fraudsters.

Arctic sea ice is also the second thickest it has been since 2009.

I’ve caught Serreze tampering with data on several occasions, most recently when he made huge areas of five year old ice disappear.

Serreze is just one of many government funded climate fraudsters here in Boulder, but his dishonest behavior is very typical.

The 1990 IPCC Report showed very little global warming from 1940 to 1990.  This graph included NASA temperature data.

NASA has since altered their data to show about 0.4C warming from 1940 to 1990.

Global warming is indeed basic physics – i.e. NASA gets paid to generate fake temperature data for politicians.

In 1999, NASA showed no net global warming from 1876 to 1976. This wrecked their hockey stick plans, so NASA erased all of the inconvenient pre-1880 data and cooled 1880 temperatures by about 0.2C.

This abuse of science is atrocious, but it gets worse. The NASA data had already been highly corrupted in 1999. In 1974, the National Center For Atmospheric Research (NCAR) showed 0.4C cooling from 1940 to 1970, and no net warming from 1870 to 1970.

NASA has since erased this cooling, and now shows 1940-1970 as warming.

The 1940 to 1970 global cooling was also reported by CRU, and they blamed droughts, floods, blizzards and tornadoes on it.

But the fraud gets much worse. Briffa’s trees showed the 1970’s as one of the coldest periods in the last 600 years. So Michael Mann completely erased them when he created the hockey stick.

In 1981, NASA still showed about half of the 1940-1970 cooling, which they have since erased.

The only hockey stick, is the hockey stick of data tampering.

Global warming is indeed Mann-made, by Michael Mann and James Hansen. But it has nothing to do with climate or science.

In 1988, the UN and NASA said they were 99% certain that the midwest drought was caused by the greenhouse effect.

I have been blogging for several weeks that the widely reported 2016 Arctic meltdown is not occurring.  Graphs from government agencies are finally getting caught up to reality. Melt has been very slow over the past month and will continue to be slow for at least another week.
