We had an incredible sunset in Boyds, MD last night. Boyds is a very small town, which suffered a tragic loss on Monday afternoon. John Martin DeReggi Jr. was taking pictures with his girlfriend and her sister when an Amtrak train came around the bend at 75+ MPH and according to the girls, did not blow its horn. John’s girlfriend went one way, and he went the other. He was killed instantly.

John was a track star and one of the most popular kids in the county. Rival schools in Montgomery County wore blue yesterday in his memory. I’m good friends with his grandmother and was talking to her about John the day before the accident. She always described him in the most glowing terms. Like yesterday’s sunset.

The divergence is spectacular, but particularly interesting is level of fraud going on during the current El Nino.

Global warming theory tells us that satellite temperatures should rise much more than surface temperatures during an El Nino – as occurred in 1998 and 2010. But this year, we don’t see that occurring. This is a smoking gun that Gavin and Tom have massively ramped up their fraud ahead of Paris.

NASA is constantly tampering with data to make the past cooler and the present warmer. Over the past six months, Gavin has implemented yet another spectacular alteration of the data – to make the hiatus disappear.

Wildfires sweeping across California are threatening the US state’s famed Sequoia trees, with firefighters scrambling to protect the national treasures.

The so-called Rough Fire, the largest of more than a dozen burning across northern and central California, has edged closer to the giant trees in recent days with firefighters scrambling to protect them.

“The fire has moved into a number of Sequoia groves in King’s Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Forest and we are taking preventive measures to make sure nothing happens to them,” park spokesman Mike Theune told AFP.

Of particular concern is the General Grant tree, the second largest Sequoia in the world. It stands 268 feet (81.7 meters) tall.

Theune said firefighters are monitoring the tree round-the-clock, spraying water and clearing the area around Grant grove.

Fire is an essential part of the Giant Sequoia life cycle.

Fire in this forest (1) prepares a seedbed; (2) cycles nutrients; (3) sets back succession in certain relatively small areas; (4) provides conditions which favor wildlife; (5) provides a mosaic of age classes and vegetation types; (6) reduces numbers of trees susceptible to attack by insects and disease; and (7) reduces fire hazards.

The 1890 photograph below shows what Giant Sequoia forest is supposed to look like. Large trees, some with bases hollowed out by hundreds of fires.

Humans decided to fix this natural balance, and quit allowing fires to occur.  As a result, there is a huge amount of underbrush growing in the forest now, which makes fires burn much hotter and makes them much more dangerous to the large trees. The photo below was taken in 1970

The Arctic summer minimum sea ice extent was reached very early this year, due to cold weather which set in early in August over the Beaufort Sea.

The extent of Arctic sea ice is up 26% from three years ago. Green shows growth since September 16, 2012, red shows loss.

Government funded experts, leading journalists, and Nobel Prize winners all say the Arctic is ice-free.

During the 1950’s the odds of summer drought were 50%, not the 5% Hansen claimed. And the frequency of summer drought in the US has declined over the last 120 years, not increased.

Hansen is an incompetent buffoon, who can’t do math, has zero integrity, and makes ridiculous forecasts – which all fail. So he compensates by tampering with data and further defrauding the public.

Prior to 1960, wildfires in the US burned far more acres than they do now.

Heatwaves were much longer, more widespread, more frequent and more intense prior to 1960.

NASA and NOAA have massively tampered with the temperature data prior to 1960, so this part of American history is largely lost. And government agencies don’t talk about pre-1960 forest fires, because it doesn’t suit their agenda. All part of the biggest science fraud in history.

The Maryland train story has taken a tragic turn. I talked to some people at the scene of the crash, and they said the boy was taking pictures and stepped the wrong way into the train.

Later I found out the boy was the grandson of a good friend of mine. She was just telling me yesterday about how he had overcome his dyslexia, and how proud she was of him. She talked about him all the time and beamed with pride. But apparently he wasn’t completely over his dyslexia, because he stepped the wrong way.

I will do what I can to help, but her loss is unimaginable. John John, rest in peace.
