The 97% Consensus

In 1915, Einstein published the General Theory of Relativity. The 97% consensus soundly rejected it – like they do with almost all significant progress in science.

Democrats/Vatican Make Their Merger Official

Congressional Democrats refuse to listen to Dr. Roy Spencer, because he is a Christian.

Instead, they invited the Pope to come speak about climate science.

Wrong Way Jimmy Got Antarctica Exactly Backwards

In Hansen 1984, he predicted that peak sea ice loss from global warming would occur in the Weddell Sea of Antarctica, and that all of Antarctica would lose sea ice.

Instead of losing sea ice, Antarctica has been gaining sea ice at a rate of 84% per century.

And the peak sea ice gain has occurred in the Weddell Sea, right where Hansen predicted sea ice loss.

Hansen’s career has been dominated by being wrong about almost everything, going back to his PhD thesis where he absurdly blamed Venusian heat on particulates in the atmosphere.

Gavin Following In Jimmy’s Footsteps

James Hansen is famous for lying to the press, and his protege Gavin Schmidt is following in his footsteps.

Long-term trends in Antarctic temperature are perhaps slightly rising over the continent as a whole, but are quite variable,” Schmidt told Live Science in an email

‘Freak Weather Event’ Sets Antarctic Heat Records

This is the exact opposite of what he published in a peer-reviewed paper in 2004.

While most of the Earth warmed rapidly during recent decades, surface temperatures decreased significantly over most of Antarctica.

Perhaps Antarctica has warmed since 2004, reversing the trend he reported in 2004? Gavin’s own data shows that hasn’t happened.

Antarctic sea ice has been steadily growing over the past 35 years, and is near record levels now. This is occurring because the waters around Antarctica are cooling.

There is so much ice, that scientists trying to prove the ice is disappearing are getting stuck in it.

So why did Gavin tell the press that Antarctica is warming?

We Are Just 90 Days Away From Fundamentally Transforming Climate Science

Barack Obama has made his way through life by ignoring experts, and breaking existing paradigms. Had he listened to expert opinions, he wouldn’t be president. He really doesn’t care what anyone else thinks.

Except when it comes to these people, whom he pretends are unassailable masters of the universe. When it comes to science, no one is permitted to question their opinion.

Reading Thermometers Is Hard

In the 1970’s, back when NASA was putting men on the moon – they simply didn’t know how to read thermometers correctly. Scientists thought that 1970 was cooler than 1900, and there was a big spike at 1940 – followed by rapid cooling.

NASA can no longer put men on the moon, but they can go back in time and reread thermometers from the 1970’s. They have since discovered that 1970 was much warmer than 1900, and that the scientists who put men on the moon were of inferior intellect to Mikey, Gavin, and Jim.

The image below overlays the 1970’s graph on the current one. NASA time travel  has removed the blip, and saved us from the unpardonable sin of climate denial.

It would be good to remove at least part of the 1940s blip, but we are still left with “why the blip”.

Mike,
Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise… Can you also email Gene [Wahl] and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar [Ammann] to do likewise.
Cheers, Phil

Experts Say That Buying Oil From ISIS Will Reduce Asthma

SCIENCE!

ScreenHunter_8540 Apr. 12 05.52

Obama timed his announcement to the most recent USGCRP draft assessment on climate change and public health (which is still open to public comment, if any of “comment activists” want to take their skepticism somewhere productive). While it’s not final, the report shows how these connections get made. It starts with epidemiologists identifying a new disease trend—say, asthma cases on the rise. An environmental health specialist might also notice that air quality has been getting worse, and testing shows it’s from an increase in particulate matter, such as soot.

Why Obama Said Global Warming Gave His Daughter Asthma | WIRED

On the other hand, one might note that the trend of journalists making up completely fake statistics and garbage logic to support politically motivated junk science, has skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, climatologists have been tracking a rise in local temperatures, and noticing more wild fires. Eventually, the various lines of research meet: Warmer air temps correlate with higher particulate matter. Higher particulate matter causes more cases of asthma.

Malia was born in Chicago in 1998. US forest fire counts have declined about one third since she was born.

US air quality is much better than it was when her father was born in the 1960’s. The amount of particulate matter in the air is vastly reduced since the Clean Air Act was passed. The pictures below compare LA in the 1960’s vs. now.

ScreenHunter_8544 Apr. 12 06.46

It is much more likely that Malia’s peanut allergy induced asthma, was aggravated by her father pumping smoke into the air.

“But we don’t have time to dither, or do the traditional Washington thing of kicking the can down the road. And I don’t think anyone is going to see any big breakthroughs when there’s a climate denier running the senate committee that controls funding for science and the environment.” (That’s James Inhofe of Oklahoma, newly installed head of Science and Public Works.) Ganapathy says that if the president were truly committed to reducing carbon (and thereby improving public health), he’d do something more dramatic, and fully within his powers. Like, for example, he could stop renewing the leases for fossil fuel drilling on public land and offshore—no family health issue invocation required.

There you have it. Experts believe that Malia’s likely peanut allergy induced asthma, which was likely aggravated by her father’s second hand smoke – can be stopped by shutting down US oil, and purchasing it from the Middle East instead.

Who could possibly argue with such brilliant logic?
