Arrhenius introduced global warming as a benefit. Only recently did alarmists start their extreme weather BS, and only after the climate quit warming.

One of the greatest scientists in the world is Arrhenius of Sweden. He is a chemist and physicist, and has studied this matter. He shows that this proportion of carbon dioxide in the air will make the climate warmer,

Greenland will have a good climate for farming. All the good soil of Canada will be in as temperate a climate as that now enjoyed by Missouri.

Corn will be grown in the Peace River Valley. Oranges will be an orchard fruit in Arkansas and Virginia. The surburban residents of Chicago may literally sit under their own fig trees and scuppernong grape arbors. Cotton will be a stable crop in Iowa. Bananas will fringe the shores of the Gulf. Siberia will become the greatest farming country in the world. The great Antarctic continent–one of the greatest on earth in extent—will be the Western Canada, the Scandinavia, the Siberia of that day, and will have millions of people. Illinois just had their coldest July on record, going back almost 20 years before Arrhenius’ prediction.

The press tells us that the current drought is historic, catastrophic and unprecedented, with about 15% of the country in severe or worse drought. (Note that much of the drought shown in the southwest has actually disappeared since this map was made – due to heavy monsoon rain.)

Eighty years ago this month, about 70% of the US was in severe or worse drought.

There is 97% certainty that anything reported in the press about climate is complete nonsense.

This post is not a joke, but is stunning.

The graph below shows the relationship between atmospheric CO2 and the magnitude of USHCN data tampering. There is almost perfect correlation between the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and how much cheating our friends at NCDC are doing with the US temperature record.

Unbelievable. What on Earth are these guys up to? Perhaps I have it backwards. Maybe data tampering drives CO2?

CO2 is more powerful than we realized. It actually drives time.

This is breathtaking. As CO2 increases, the date also advances. Experts believe that increases in CO2 will force next year to be the largest year ever – beating the old record (2014) by 0.05%.

Twenty four years ago today, Saddam invaded Kuwait. Bush Sr. responded by sending troops to Saudi Arabia in preparation to bomb Iraq military facilities.

Saddam knew what Bush was up to, and responded by taking tens of thousands of European human shields and placing them at military facilities around Iraq. This was a huge problem for Bush, as it wrecked his strategy.

What people generally don’t know is that two of Bush’s biggest enemies in Texas – oil man Oscar Wyatt and former governor John Connally traveled to Baghdad and worked out some sort of deal with Saddam to get him to release the hostages. That is what made it possible for Bush to bomb Iraq. Bush of course never gave credit to Wyatt or Connolly, and I don’t know why they did it, or why Saddam agreed.

My fraternity house at ASU didn’t have air conditioning. The swamp coolers kept the temperature around 82 degrees with high humidity. We had soccer practice in the afternoon at 107 degrees. Did anyone care?

Of course not. We were on a campus with 20,000 beautiful half-naked women. I doubt anyone ever noticed the weather.

During the late 1980s my fianceé was a beautiful (and hot) Mexican woman who grew up in a small house with 11 siblings in Houston. She never experienced air conditioning until she was an adult, and never thought she was missing anything. When I lived in Houston, I never used air conditioning, and certainly don’t use it in Maryland. When I walk into a refrigerated store in Maryland I’m miserable. Summer is so short. Why would anyone want to be cold during the summer?

On the other hand there have been a lot of mornings this summer when it was cold walking the dogs.
