80 Years Ago, 80% Of The US Was In Drought

Eighty years ago this summer, more than 80% of the US was experiencing drought, and about half the country was in extreme drought.

1934 was also the second hottest summer in US history, after 1936. Climate experts say that heat and drought are getting worse, due to Mann-made CO2.

Once Formed, Ice Must Never Melt Again

Greenland receives several trillion tons of snow every year, which all has to return to the sea as rivers of ice – known as glaciers. But climate alarmists don’t want this to happen, so they stand at the periphery and wring their hands when they see these rivers of ice moving.

The Obama Doctrine

President Obama has put his underlying policy doctrine on display.

  1. Terrorists should be freed from prison and heavily armed, so that they can retake Iraq
  2. American political opponents like Dinesh D’Souza should be imprisoned
  3. “Al Qaeda is on the run

The Iraqi government has lost control of its third-largest city to Al Qaeda-inspired insurgents, a crushing defeat for not only Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s security policies but for Iraqi politics as a whole.

The scale of the catastrophe, as troops loyal to Mr. Maliki flood north and troops controlled by the Kurdish Regional Government rush west and south, can’t be overstated. Chicago is the United States’ third-largest city. Munich is Germany’s. Osaka is Japan’s.

Nobel Prize Winning Forecast Runs Into A Minor Snag

Nobel Laureate (and inventor of the Internet) Al Gore solemnly predicted that there was a 75% chance the Arctic would be ice-free this summer.

But he ran into a minor problem. With only 90 possible melt days remaining, the ice is 10 feet thick and temperatures have remained several degrees below freezing.

Obama Says He Will “Even Talk To Sportsmen”

I heard President Obama on the radio talking about the epidemic of school shootings by psychotic young men armed with knives, guns, cars and explosives. He said he would “even be willing to talk to sportsmen about the problem

Is he somehow expecting duck hunters to reverse the massive psychological damage being done by the looney left to the youth of America?

1901 Was The Hottest July In US History – It Was Blamed On “The Advance Of Civilization”

There has been no trend in US July temperatures since 1895, but 1901 produced the hottest July in the US temperature record – even hotter than 1936 and 1934.

ScreenHunter_405 Jun. 10 04.48

Scientists at the time blamed it on “the advance of civilization”  My understanding is that civilization has been rapidly retreating since 2009, which apparently explains how Obama is cooling the planet.

During The Summer Of 1936, 15% Of US Temperatures Were Over 100 Degrees

President Obama says that heatwaves are getting worse, because he has absolutely no clue what he is talking about. During the summer of 1936, fifteen percent of all US temperature readings were over 100 degrees. Compare that to only two percent last summer.

The last really hot summer in the US was 1980, and before that it was 1954.
