No global warming for 18 years? Suddenly the heat moved to the bottom of the sea where no one could measure it.

Multiple years of record Antarctic sea ice, and above normal global sea ice? Boats trapped in the ice at both poles? Suddenly the heat moved way down under the Antarctic ice and is going to kill us all.

Record low Atlantic and US hurricane activity? No problem – make up some fake statistics about a single storm in the Philippines.

US is record cold? No worries – jack up the data tampering to record levels.

Terrorist attack before the election? Make up a fake story about a YouTube video.

No scientific consensus? No problem. Commission a fake report by fake scientists to create a non-existent consensus.

Deficit looking bad before the election? Tell the Secretary of the Treasury to lie about it.

When you have no concern for the truth or reality, and a legion of useful idiots to back you up – you can hold power for a little while.

These poor people lost their city 9,000 years ago to sea level rise, because they just weren’t smart enough to build windmills or implement a carbon tax. We can do better, because we have wise men like Michael Mann, Prince Charles, Richard Branson, Bette Midler, Leonardo DiCaprio, the mermaid from Splash, and Al Gore to tell us what to do.

North Koreans are already enjoying the Obama low CO2, government planned economy.

Burning natural gas produces half as much CO2 as coal.

The US has about 500 coal fired power plants. If Obama shut them all down, and they were replaced by gas power plants, that would reduce the amount of CO2 generated by about 250 power plants.

The rest of the world has 1,200 new coal fired plants in the planning or building stages, meaning that our 250 plant reduction would be overwhelmed by the all new coal plants being built elsewhere.

So at massive cost we could accomplish almost nothing wrt CO2, while adding more of the super evil greenhouse gas CH4 to the atmosphere.
