Then he tried to claim that his forecasts were accurate, when in fact they were a complete disaster.  This was the graph he published :

The next graph overlays RSS TLT satellite temperatures, which were created to verify the accuracy of surface data.

This is a classic study in how the team constantly tramples on the truth, in pursuit of their agenda.

Whatever Hansen predicts, betting on the opposite is almost always a sure thing. Like his 2006 Super El Nino which was going to burn up the planet,

One of the things I have learned from Bill Gray, is that major hurricane activity increases during cooling periods, and decreases during warming periods.

During the strong cooling from 1945-1969, there were a lot of major hurricanes. In the 1970’s, temperature trends reversed – and major hurricane activity dropped off dramatically.

Before NASA/NOAA erased the post-1940 cooling, the National Academy of Sciences showed that it was as large as the 1900-1940 warming

In the late 1990’s, temperatures began to decline and major hurricane activity picked up sharply again.

Next topic will be what is causing the warming and cooling periods, but the key point for now is that alarmists have the relationship between major hurricanes and global warming exactly backwards.

In 1968, apes ruled the planet, and National Geographic was popular because of wonderful photography showing topless island women with perky breasts.

National Geographic has since dropped the stimulating photography, and is now a sci-fi magazine with intellectual apes as editors.
