More Lies From The AMS Director

the survey showed 93 percent of actively publishing climate  scientists indicated that they are convinced that humans have contributed to global warming.   This is consistent with prior studies’ findings that the climate science community is in agreement  that humans are largely responsible for the climate change we have seen in recent decades.

www.ametsoc.org/keithletterbostonglobe.pdf

His claim is patently false and complete nonsense. There is no way to derive the very strong statement “largely responsible for the climate change” from the very weak agreement to “humans have contributed to global warming

In climate criminal land, 3% means 97%. What right do these people have to misrepresent other’s opinions? It is disgusting, and perverse.

AMS President Hovering Around Clueless

I was running on a treadmill at the gym a few minutes ago, and the AMS president was on CNN talking about the early winter. He said :

Denver was -10 last week and almost 70 this week, at a time when the weather should be hovering around 40

The weather never “hovers” here. If the wind blows from the west, we get downslope heating. If it blows from the east, we get upslope cooling. When I first moved to Boulder twenty years ago, I remember reading a promotional magazine which said Boulder winter weather alternates between frigid and balmy. One of the more popular sayings here is If you don’t like the weather in Colorado, wait a few minutes

Mean Denver high temp is about 45 this time of year, with a range of -10 to 70. Just like it has always been.

Not To Be Outdone By NASA In The Data Tampering Department ….

Cooling the past is fun, so why not lower past sea levels too?

The EU’s Envisat satellite used to agree with tide gauges that there isn’t a lot of sea level rise going on.

But that just wouldn’t do anything to scare people, so one night they simply quadrupled sea level rise.

The graph below shows how they lowered past sea level, and raised recent sea level to create the EU mandated scary appearance of sea level rising.

NASA’s Fairness Program : Tampering With The Whole World

NASA scientists are not bigots, and don’t focus all their data tampering attentions on just the US.  Since 2007, NASA has increased the 1880-2006 global temperature trend by an amazing 37%, from 0.59 degrees per century up to 0.81 degrees per century.

Impressive work on NASA’s part – 0.22C/century of new cheats – just since 2007. By the time NASA and NOAA are done cooling the past, the 1930’s Dust Bowl will have been an ice age.

Embrace Diversity

The mantra of progressives was “embrace diversity” – until Obama was elected.

Now it is “Anyone who doesn’t believe exactly what I believe is a threat to the human race”

But then again, progressives have always been that way.

US Temperatures Plummeting Over The Last 15 Years

Over the last 15 years, US temperatures have plummeted at a rate of almost eight degrees per century.

The only year that alarmists can see is 2012.

No Correlation Between Changes In Atlantic City Sea Level And Changes In Global Temperature

Sea level at Atlantic City has been rising linearly since the start of records in 1912.

ScreenHunter_505 Dec. 21 07.49

www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/180.rlrdata

According to NASA, global temperatures were flat for 35 years between 1940 and 1975, yet sea level continued to rise at the same linear rate during that time. This is a big red flag that sea level is not affected by global temperature.

ScreenHunter_501 Dec. 21 07.22

data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.A.txt

If sea level was affected by global temperature (i.e. glaciers melting) we should see a relationship between either sea level rise rates and global temperature, or sea level rise rates and change in global temperature. In fact, we see neither.

There is no correlation between change in sea level and change in global temperature.

ScreenHunter_507 Dec. 21 07.51

There is also very poor correlation between change in sea level, and the absolute temperature anomaly.

ScreenHunter_511 Dec. 21 08.46

The only correlation we see with Atlantic City sea level is vs. time. This hints strongly that apparent sea level on the East Coast is driven by subsidence, rather than “global warming.”

Global Sea Ice Area Closing In On Record High

Global sea ice area is second highest on record for the date after 1988, and closing in the #1 spot. Antarctic ice is melting very slowly this summer, due to record cold Antarctic temperatures.
