Reid staffers exempt from Obamacare exchanges

Washington (CNN) — Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, one of Obamacare’s architects and staunchest supporters, is also the only top congressional leader to exempt some of his staff from having to buy insurance through the law’s new exchanges.

Reid is the exception among the other top congressional leaders. GOP House Speaker John Boehner, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell have all directed their staffs to join the exchange, their aides said.

WASHINGTON — The White House is offering more money to insurance companies as an incentive for them to let people keep insurance policies that were to have been canceled next year.

The administration floated several proposals on Monday to “help offset the loss in premium revenue and profit” that it said might occur if insurers went along with President Obama’s request to reinstate canceled policies.

That is so thoughtful of Obama to illegally offer money which he confiscated from the citizenry, to private companies.

It has been so long since it snowed here (12 days) that I forgot to take my face mask out when walking the dogs last night. It was -12C with a 10 MPH wind blowing ice crystals into my face and eyes. Miserable.

Unless we get snow every day, I may continue to forget what to do when the thing of the past arrives.
