The Hollywood actor Harrison Ford has been accused of “harassing state institutions” in Indonesia and threatened with deportation after allegedly confronting a minister during an interview about illegal logging and climate change.

The forestry minister, Zulkifi Hasan, said he was left shocked by Ford’s emotionally charged interview techniques and complained there was no time to go over the questions before filming began, local media reported.

“I suddenly had my face made up and was then interviewed,” Hasan told the state news agency Antara.

“I was given a chance to make only one or two comments.”

The Star Wars actor has been in Indonesia filming an episode for the climate change documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, which will air on the US television network Showtime in April 2014 and feature Matt Damon and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Pinocchio Test

Many politicians have a tendency to look back at their past statements with rose-colored glasses.  But given that Kerry has now twice in recent months made the claim that he opposed the war in Iraq, this is clearly not a case of a momentary slip-up.

For Kerry, the uncomfortable fact remains that he voted to authorize the use of force against Iraq, he believed the intelligence that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and he said there was little choice but to launch an invasion to disarm him. Kerry may have been highly critical of Bush’s diplomatic efforts in advance of the invasion, but that is not the same thing as opposing the war when it started.

It’s time for the secretary to stop making this claim. In trying to make a distinction between his vote to authorize the war and his later dismay at how it turned out, Kerry earns Four Pinocchios.

Fourteen people have been killed by cars so far this year here in Larimer County, Colorado. That is more than were killed in the Aurora shooting last year. Assault cars need to be banned.

Troopers said the cause of the crash remained under investigation, and were not able to release names or hometowns of those involved in the crash. The woman’s death was the county’s 14th death this year caused by a car crash.

The Denver Post is doing everything they can today to bury the biggest story in the country today. Their lead story this morning is about a Denver Bronco’s traffic ticket. They did mention the recall in an editorial titled “Time to move on after the Colorado recall elections.”

I agree. Lets move on and get rid of the governor too.
